✨Motivation comes from a very important goal or desired result that’s unique to YOU.

✨If you don’t have motivation that means you don’t have a really clear goal that sparks you into action. Goals come first, then you know what HABITS you need to build to accomplish them.

✨Today I just want to talk about the goals part.

✨I want you to have this conversation with yourself. Ask “why?” 5 times. Here’s an example:

“I want to lose 30 pounds.”
👉🏼Why?
“Because then I’ll feel confident.”
👉🏼Why?
“When I see my thighs I feel worthless and like a failure.”
👉🏼Why?
“I know I can do better and that I deserve the body I desire.”
👉🏼Why?
“Because I’m worth it.”
👉🏼Why?
“Deep down I love myself and being healthy is one of many ways to show myself the love.”

✨You can do anything you set your mind to. Get out of your own way and give yourself a good reason to take action. Wanting to “look hot” isn’t enough! Dig deep. ✨Your motivation is within you- it’s not outside of you.

Nedavno sam ovaj obrok postovala na story-ju pa kako je bilo puno pozitivnih komentara i pitanja za recept, da kazem o cemu je rec. 
200 gr mlevene junetine (but jer ima najmanji procenat masti) 🍀
1 zelena tikvica 🍀
Oko 50-ak grama delikatesne prsute (ja sam koristila Zlatiborac) 🍀
2 sake baby spanaca 🍀
Priprema svega ovoga bilo je kao i uvek na kokosovom ulju. Od zacina persun, origano, mleveni biber i beli luk u prahu, himalajska so. Nakon desetak min dinstanja, dodala sam 2 kasikice Salsa sosa od paradajiza 🍀
Posebno sam skuvala testenine od spanaca i pirinca (cisto zbog boje htela sam da dobijem lep prizor na tanjiru) mada se ne vidi bas najbolje na fotkici ali, ja sam videla pa mi verujte na rec 😃😃👍
Nakon pripreme, sve spojiti zajedno i lagano umesati da se svi sastojci ispreplicu i oduseve vas izgledom a i ukusom. Meni je ovo bio obrok za posao a pre treninga (naravno, otprilike polovina svega ovoga) a ostatak je posluzio i za sutradan 🔝
Gotovo da nema dana da ne jedem spanac i mesam ga i u slane i slatke obroke, nekada ga obradim a nekad konzumiram i u sirovom obliku. Izuzetno mi prija ukus, slaze se uz sve varijante i smatram da tako mozemo pruziti telu obilje vitamina i minerala neophodnih za sve dnevne aktivnosti 🔝💪
PS Dedukcija : moze se reci da mi je Popaj bio uzor 😂💗

Made a warm soup for my late dinner last night😊 Used chicken broth, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini noodles, shirataki noodles (my new favourite low/ no calorie noodle alternative) 1/4 cup egg whites and 1/4 cup kimchi

ACV braised cabbage with caraway seeds, chinese 5 spice, ginger & cilantro pulled pastured pork butt @carnebham AND these uber tasty jap sweet potato pucks, they’re like little gold pucks of luuuv lol but really firm outer texture & super fluffy, starchy center. My bf & I came to the conclusion that they would make great faux toasts. So don’t be surprised if you see jap sweet pOtatO avocado toasts on my feed😍
Anywho, today’s my Friday as of 8pm & tomorrow’s likely yours... woot woot! What’s on the agenda? For me a little bit of shopping, Soulcycle😲 with @lizbin😬 & lunch🍴 (I think I may have found a restaurant that meet my super particular needs🤞🤞) & Hanukkah dins made by moi with the fam💙 prolly some other stuff too😊

For starters I’m 23 (Libra) born and raised in Massachusetts. I have an older sister, two lovely parents, a biffle boyfriend, 2 dogs (aka angel babies) and a raabbiitt.

-I thoroughly enjoy writing out my monthly calendar in an expo marker.
-I’m a sucker for anything that involves dogs.
-my closet is color coded.
-Roughly 78% extrovert and 22% introvert.
-Always hated pink. Green rocks my sox💚
-Sleep on my side.. mainly my right.
-Oh. Also have my apps in the order of the color of the rainbow.
-....okay, slightly OCD/perfectionist.
-Can’t sit down to watch a movie for the life of me.. I always feel the need to be doing something productive.
-Having my toe nails not painted freaks me out.
-Nothing irks me more than a cluster fuck of small stickers on the inside of a car window.
-I HATE politics/ watching the news.

I ran out of prepped food yesterday so I made enough to last me until my next day off on Tuesday! Sweet and sour chicken and rice, zuppa Toscana soup, and sausage and apple hash to turn into omelettes!

This hot and cold gel pack is one of my most favorite things that I have ever gotten out of a fabfitfun box (when I used to get them 😕) I love that when it's frozen it doesn't become a hard brick and  when it's a cool night I can throw it in the microwave and use to to help warm up the bed ☺️ Ever wonder if you should use heat or ice? 
Ice is used on new injuries and inflammation. 
Heat is used for muscles, chronic pain and stress. 
However, both are up for debate and ultimately it comes down to whichever one you prefer 🔥❄️

SOUTHWESTERN BAKED FALAFELS⠀

1 cup of dried chickpeas, soaked at least 12 hours, drained, and rinsed⠀
4 tsp lime juice⠀
zest from half a lime (~1 tsp)⠀
3 large cloves garlic minced⠀
1 shallot minced⠀
1 tsp ground cumin⠀
1/4 tsp cayenne⠀
1/2 tsp baking powder⠀
1/2 cup black beans⠀
1/2 cup corn⠀
1/4 cup chopped cilantro⠀
1/2 tsp black pepper⠀
1/2 tsp salt⠀
1 egg⠀

DIRECTIONS⠀

Pre-heat oven to 400 F.⠀
Combine chickpeas and lime juice in a food processor and blend until chickpeas are coarse and mealy (they shouldn't form a paste).⠀
In a large bowl, mix chickpeas with remaining ingredients until completely combined.⠀
Form falafel balls with 1.5 tablespoons of mixture and placed on a cookie sheet lined with a greased sheet of parchment or silicone baking mat. *they may seem crumbly; press together gently. They will firm up in the oven.*⠀
Bake for 15-20 minutes until lightly browned on top.⠀
Serve immediately with a dollop of Greek yogurt, or other dipping sauce.⠀

I’m in love with one sheet pan dinners! It took me a while to take a leap of faith mainly because I was concerned meat would come out dry and vegetables overcooked. But nothing of that happened because “I’m not just a pretty face”.

Potatoes were crispy coated in dried oregano, garlic powder and generous amount of olive oil. And chicken juicy and tender with roasted tiny tomatoes on top. And all action happens in one pan – you will love this one pan chicken and potatoes for your next weeknight dinner or lunches for a week. This size of tray fed 4 of us one night really well.

While waiting to fill out my new hire paperwork I went into the Cat Room to visit the kitties. There were tons of kittens. I opened the doors and pet them all. When I opened her door this then 9 year old lady jumped out onto my shoulder like a monkey. I spent some time with her and when I went to put her back in her cage she hopped back out on my shoulder. Out of a room full of Felines her name was the only one I remembered and there was something about her I couldn’t forget.

So on day 4 of working at the local humane society this girl came home with me and has been my best girl since 💚🐾

recipe:

on the stove:
mince 1 yellow onion, 2 cloves of garlic, 3 stalks of celery, 3 carrots, and saute with olive oil until softened. add a handful of spinach and stir until wilted. add 1/2 teaspoon dried basil, 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, a tiny sprinkle of nutmeg, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.

in a bowl:

Just DO be sure you are getting a variety of protein sources throughout the day to ensure you’re giving your body all of the essential amino acids it needs to thrive, build & maintain lean tissue, healthy bones & skin.

Of course it’s easiest to get complete protein (containing all of the essential amino acids your body doesn’t make but needs) though animal products but you can also get them by combining different plant based protein sources.

At the end of the day, what’s important is that your body gets a sufficient amount of all 9 essential amino acids. Although new research shows you don’t need complete protein at each meal (think daily total instead), I do recommend it in the pre and post workout setting for optimal muscle repair/ recovery💪🏼

Sweet and Sour glazed baked salmon with baked sweet potato and acorn squash. .
Ingredients:
1lb  wild salmon
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp garlic, minced
⅓ cup red onion, diced
3 tbsp tamarind paste
2 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium)
2 tbsp organic raw honey, or agave
Pepper
Garnish
Red pepper flakes
Sea salt
2 diced sweet potatoes
1 sliced acorn squash
Steps:

1. Add olive oil, garlic and red onion to a nonstick skillet set on medium heat. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes until the onion has turned brown and somewhat translucent. Be careful not to burn the garlic or the onion.
2. Add the remaining ingredients to the skillet. Stir and bring the sauce to a light simmer for about 3 to 5 minutes, then reduce the heat.
3. Allow it to cook in the skillet for an additional 2 to 3 minutes, then pour the marinade into a bowl to cool and thicken.
4. Once the marinade has cooled, add the filets and half of the marinade to a bowl or sealable plastic bag. Coat the salmon filets in the marinade and marinate for at least 1 hour in the fridge.
5. Set the oven to 420°F (216°C).

Sweet and Sour glazed baked salmon with baked sweet potato and acorn squash. . Ingredients: 1lb wild salmon 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 1 tbsp garlic, minced ⅓ cup red onion, diced 3 tbsp tamarind paste 2 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium) 2 tbsp organic raw honey, or agave Pepper Garnish Red pepper flakes Sea salt 2 diced sweet potatoes 1 sliced acorn squash Steps: 1. Add olive oil, garlic and red onion to a nonstick skillet set on medium heat. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes until the onion has turned brown and somewhat translucent. Be careful not to burn the garlic or the onion. 2. Add the remaining ingredients to the skillet. Stir and bring the sauce to a light simmer for about 3 to 5 minutes, then reduce the heat. 3. Allow it to cook in the skillet for an additional 2 to 3 minutes, then pour the marinade into a bowl to cool and thicken. 4. Once the marinade has cooled, add the filets and half of the marinade to a bowl or sealable plastic bag. Coat the salmon filets in the marinade and marinate for at least 1 hour in the fridge. 5. Spinach & Cream Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breast {Save This Recipe}

What you need:
* 3 Chicken Breast
* 8oz frozen spinach (cook according to package instructions)
* 1/2c Crumbled Feta
* 4oz Cream Cheese
* (2) 1/8 tsp Salt
* 1/8 tsp Pepper
* 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
Instructions:
* Pre-heat oven to 450*F
* Mix cooked-spinach, feta, cream cheese & (1) 1/8 tsp salt in large bowl
* Cut 1 deep pocket in each chicken breast
* Stuff w cream cheese mixture
* Season w remaining salt + pepper
* Heat Olive Oil in oven-safe pan & set over medium-high heat.
* Add stuffed chicken ‘top’ side down & cook for 5 mins, then flip chicken over
*  Place pan in oven then bake for 10 mins*. *if chicken breast are extra thick, bake for an additional 2-5 mins or until internal temperature reaches 165*F

I think I found my new favorite Zoodle meal! I’ve used zucchini noodles in so many different way but this one stands out the best. Maybe bc it’s the colder weather being December but I’m really loving this weeks meal prep! And wished I made more lol. Coming home to have a hot bowl of zucchini noodle pho ga 🍲 is so satisfying! 👌 This healthier version I made is the bomb! I don’t even miss the Banh pho (noodles) the zoodles more than makes up for it and love the texture/taste of them. Chicken is perfectly cooked and not dry. The broth really shined though, it’s clean, less salty than normal, not fatty, but perfect pho ga broth flavor you look for in normal bowl. This with all the herbs and bean sprouts with sriracha over it so freaking good!
