Whatever happened to treating things the way that you want to be treated? Most people couldn't get through a video of what these animals have to go through to end up on a plate 😔

"Chipotle Bowl" With Bean-Burger & A Homemade Honey-Chipotle Vinaigrette🤤
•This is my first vegan-friendly meal!!!! I don't think I'll ever go vegan 100%, but it's definitely a new goal of mine to include more plant-based proteins and less meat in my meal choices! •INGREDIENTS: Brown rice + quinoa, lettuce, green bell pepper, Morning Star's bean burger, chick peas, Grill Mate's chipotle seasoning, avocado, red onion, cilantro and tomato. *For the vinaigrette* (tastes just like the dressing at @chipotlemexicangrill ) 6 tablespoons red wine vinegar, 1/4 cup honey, 3/4 cup canola oil, 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano,
1-1/2 teaspoons salt, 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper and a tablespoon of the Grill Mate's chipotle seasoning (mix this all together and refrigerate while preparing the bowl). •STEPS: Cut the Morning Star's bean burger patty into fours, slice the bell pepper. On low-medium heat, sauté the bell pepper, chick peas, and bean patty together (add in tablespoon of the chipotle seasoning, I also drizzled olive oil over the pan). While this is cooking, prepare your rice and fresh produce toppings. Once everything is cooked, layer up your bowl as you'd like! Hope you enjoy!!!!
This planet's area decreases everyday to provide meat for human meanwhile in other side of the earth, many children are suffering from starving. we can make this world better place for our generation. Be Vegan be the change for this world
Meet your meat. This is what your ingesting. This is what your serving your kids. And it is 100 PERCENT UNNECESSARY.

When will YOU make the connection? 💔 "We must not refuse to see with our eyes what they must endure with their bodies." Eating #meat supports the killing of #animals for no reason other than to satisfy humans' acquired taste for animal flesh.
Mammals share the same nervous system, neurochemicals, perceptions, and emotions, all of which are integrated into the experience of pain.
The nature of pain is perhaps even more complex in animals. How pain is sensed and the physical processes behind this are remarkably similar and well conserved across mammals and humans. There are also many similarities in pain behaviours across the species, for example they may stop socialising with people and/or other animals, they may eat less, they may vocalise more and their heart rate may rise. The capacity of animals to suffer as sentient creatures is well established and enshrined in law in many countries.
The arguments for leaving animals off our plates have never been stronger – and the availability of #vegan food has never been greater.

They trust us. And we betray them 💔 .
I just watched a video on @mercyforanimals page that has really upset me. It's pig slaughterhouse footage. I've seen stuff like that before but it never gets easier seeing it. It's soul-destroying and that video really hit me 😢 .
While I'm here with a heavy heart that breaks every single day, most people will live their entire lives in a blissful state of ignorance without a care in the world. They will wake up tomorrow and fry bacon for breakfast without sparing a thought for the screams, cries, pain, suffering and slaughter on their plate.
They will spend their lives buying packets of flesh in supermarkets so that they can feast on the body parts of animals they never even saw, let alone killed, and then have the audacity to say it's 'normal' and 'natural' while getting mad at vegans for pointing out the suffering rather than at themselves for causing it.
Compassion is not a crime but what we do to these poor animals is. If you are reading my words but you eat meat, please go and watch that video. If it's not good enough for your eyes then why is it good enough for your stomach?
Please do the right thing and make the decision to leave animals off your plate. I may be only one person but together we can change this cruel world.

Found these gorgeous mangoes at my local farm stand. I know the one on the right is an Ataulfo our "Champagne" mango, but I've never seen the one on the left. Does anyone know what variety it is?? It is evenly pink colored and the flavor is similar to the Ataulfo, but more mellow and without the mild tartness. #mango#fruitmakesyouphat#fruit#healthyvegan
Did you guys know that we sell stickers?? They're perfect to put on your laptops, phones, water bottles, notebooks, and even cars 🙌🏼 Thanks for the gorgeous photos of your new stickers, @k_brae! Hope you love them 🌈 #veganveins
What do vegans eat? #31
Massive feast at a friends farewell last night. So many options and always a cool thing to be able to eat everything on the table without having to double check the ingredients.
Homemade kombucha!! *my flavor I want to have at the end of this is matcha rose lavender citrus*
Saw a scoby from moon booch at River Arts Market today so I decided to try it out :) Making kombucha is actually really easy and way more affordable than you think because you can re use the scoby quite a few times.
I made this by boiling a gallon of water- when it was warm I added in 4 Tb of tea + 1 cup of sugar (I did 3/4 cup of maple syrup)
For this I did 1 Tb of green tea (since it was powder I separated water into my tea maker so I can strain it. I let that sit for about 6 minutes and when it was done I added it back to the pot to sit with everything else for another 8 minutes) 2 Tb of dried rose and 1 Tb of lavender.
After that the tea was strained and cooled. It was recommended to put the brew in glass but I had some large plastic containers from veg fest so I used that to put the tea in with the scoby and the 2 cups of tea it came with. If you don't have 2 cups of tea from a previous kombucha batch you can use white distilled vinegar instead.
You're going to leave it for 1-3 weeks. The longer you leave it the more sugar is soaked into the scoby.
I'm going to probably leave mine for 3 weeks and removed the scoby with 2 cups of tea for the next batch!
I can't wait to try it when it's done <3
One of my go-to, easy meals. Great for those days when you are short on time (or energy 😂) and just want something packed with nutrients without all the fuss of making it.
Pre-cooked brown rice (I always have leftovers in my fridge), beans (these are pre-prepared refried pinto beans--I usually make a huge batch of lentils and have them on hand in the fridge), and previously frozen veggies. I defrost the veggies, warm them again with the other components, then top it with spices of choice, and other fresh veggies (today it was farmers' market tomatoes and green onions, and lettuce--which didn't make the picture).
Filling. Simple. Nourishing.
If you give a terrified, thirsty pig in a slaughter-truck water, you could face 6 months in jail or a $5000 fine for interfering with 'property'. This is the immoral, backwards world we live in where cruelty is normalised and kindness is punished.
Animals are not property. They are living, breathing, sentient beings with families just like us. We need to destroy the property status of animals as it's that objectification, which enables us to senselessly enslave, oppress, exploit and massacre them as if they're nothing.
The page I'm sharing this from @pmwhiphop is full of comments from non-vegans saying 'it's ok to eat bacon but it's animal abuse to deprive a pig of water'
That's cognitive dissonance because in my head that just translates as 'it's animal abuse to deprive a pig of water but it's perfectly fine to stab a pig in the throat or throw them in a scalding tank or gas them to death in a gas chamber while their insides burn with carbonic acid for the trivial reason of my tastebuds so that I can feast on their flesh and forget about it five minutes later for a meal I don't even need to survive'
Please #MakeTheConnection . If you hate #AnimalAbuse , then stop funding it. If you #LoveAnimals , then stop being the reason they suffer and die. You are a good person born into a cruel world but you are personally responsible for becoming more ethical than the society you grew up in. #BeTheChange as #PeaceBeginsOnYourPlate and in your heart 💚🌱 .

YAY! My little @cocokindskincare package came in 💕
I've been super interested in these products for a while but just didn't make the test run.
Started my first order with this turmeric spot stick, and threw in the mint balm for gigs, plus was sent a trial of the facial serum - SO AWESOME & im pumped to try. ☺️ I'll let y'all know how the turmeric spot stick works after a couple weeks!
Made some vegan nachos to share with the kids while the white chili is cooking. (One kid asked if we can eat this everyday!) So yum!! Thanks for alerting me to deliciousness that is The Honest Stand, @barbells.beauty.health!
Dinner I made the other night. Sweet potato noodles* with a very, very creamy cauliflower, cashew and garlic Alfredo-ish sauce with mushrooms. SO GOOD. So light. So healthy. (*though Matt left me the squishy off cuts at the bottom of the pan - need to learn to use the spiraliser properly)
This is my 12 year old in the kitchen making his own vegan dinner. He has non vegan options but he chose a vegan hot dog. He wants to go to culinary school and I'm trying to convince him to open the first vegan food truck in Winston Salem when he grows up. 3 months ago he would have laughed at me. Now, he understands that vegan food can be delicious and fun to cook. #myboy#proudmomma#whatveganseat#vegan#vegansofig#vegansofinstagram#meatfree#vegans#vegankids
