Stanford otolaryngology research day! (Update: I won the poster competition!) Presenting my poster from this research year on using fluorescence to illuminate head and neck cancers intraoperatively. Working to make augmented surgery a reality!
(Also, tables and tables of fancy food from breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks to early evening reception. Yummmm....one of the caterers tried to shame me for taking so much food by saying “you know you need to finish all that.” Lol...please. I can eat double that).
Perfection in a cup 🍵 One Friday during our time in #Seoul we sneaked out of the OR earlier to catch our flight to the widely known vacation-island Jeju-do #제주도 - and since I am a lucky child, it rained the whole weekend 😂😭 we still made the most of it though 💪🏼. There I - obviously- insisted on going to the #greentea fields - cause duuuhh gotta get the fresh stuff when it’s within reach 💁🏻😎 in Japan I had several cups of green tea everyday - plain, just as it is. Whereas in #korea , the latte is what i went for most of the time.... the #오설록 Museum there is set in a really pretty place and has a nice calming atmosphere to it 😌 (though @matchacha_seoul still beats ‘em all 🙌🏼) #matcha#맛차#latteart#라테아트#medstudents
Congratulations to Class of '20 #medstudents Nik Moring, Emily Vayda, Mike Rodriquez, Dan De Los Santos, Jake Lehman, and Hanna Mathers! These hard-working and fun-loving #lifelonglarners participated in #questival2017 , a 24-hour #adventurerace , this past weekend. Despite an exam on Friday and clinic in the afternoon, the team was still able to take second place out of 138 teams! As Moring said, "Med students are a funky breed - if you give them a list of stuff to get done, it will get finished! It's this strange kind of motivation where there's just a relentless pursuit to complete as much as you possibly can!" :) #uvm#medstudentlife#medschoolfun @mitochondria4ever @evphonehome @mikebigrod @lehman.jake @fletchercheffe
