For those wondering, I am 100% natural. No pro-hormones, no test boosters, no SARMS, etc. I just put it in the work and put in the time. It's not always easy but that's what makes it fun! Being sore is like sitting in a hot tub for me. I love the pain. I love how every time I engage that muscle, it hurts. It's one of the most satisfying feelings ever to know that you got the most out of your muscles that you possibly could. For me, getting bigger is just an added bonus to doing what makes me happy.😅

Calf training isn't so simple as raising the heel once a week off a platform.
Many different variations go into training the calves as it includes two parts: the soleus and the gastrocnemius. The gastrocnemius is the upper most posterior portion of the muscle as I'm targeting in the video up above! Took @stevedilk advice awhile back on increasing frequency to 3x a week!
Here we have Smith machine calf raises (in the video) which I then compounded set with body weight calf raises which I went to complete failure with toes out to target the medial head of the gastrocnemius!
365 days ago I step off the stage at Pittsburgh as a professional athlete (IFBB PRO ) in the mens physique category.
I'm always up for a good challenge and if anyone has ever competed this is the ultimate mental and physical challenge. It took a lot of hard work and sacrifices over many YEARS just to reach my goal of becoming a pro.
Discipline with my diet , cardio , workouts and cutting out a "normal" life was just part for the course in reaching my goal.
This sport is not for the faint of heart! Getting on stage, being judged, missing that pro card by one place and getting back to the drawing board is just part of the sport but it's worth at the end .

One of my favorite back movements: the wide grip cable Pulldown!
It doesn’t need to be done kneeling, but I find the extra wide grip to be very conducive to a strong back contraction. Especially for anyone who’s not yet used to moving their shoulder blades while doing pull downs, this can be a great teaching tool 💪🏾💯

Leg extensions with a twist☠️ try throwing in some static holds the next time you do these! Here I’m doing 4 sets of leg extensions with the following rep scheme, 5reps..5second hold..5reps..5second hold..reps til failure. Don’t under estimate the power of partial reps😵 starting to take that conditioning to the next level. Sitting at just over 7 weeks out. We’re going to bring the heat🔥
