When you’re doing some shopping but get tired of walking
Thanks @theacrocaveman for capturing this shopping experience
#tbt to the @reclaimyourself Italy Retreat last year that I taught with @emmajiva . Bookings already happening so get your place fast; last year it sold out fast.
Last offical gymnastics training session for the year! Had to do get some basic reps and sets in as well as some single bar and reverse palm planche! @mr_sosa27 getting my balance on those bar holds slowly bro! 😎👌🏽 Finishing up with my favourite shoulder stretch - wide grip handstands! 💪🏽🤙🏽
Don’t let anyone walk all over you… unless you’re doing it yourself 😂 Is anyone else counting down until the weekend?

Stepping into my power is the ability to be vulnerable and open. Opening in the body allows for an open heart and mind.

👇A Few Days Left👇
So when my journey began I had man-shoulders (could not lift arms fully overhead), man-spine (could not lift in wheel pose) and man-strings (could not touch toes) a.k.a stiff as a board. What happened was the product of a regular and consistent yoga practice, vegetarian diet and meditation.

Creating lines with this epic guy, @victorchauyoga, check out his IG for a lot of handstand love ❤️ .

I try. Oh how I try.
I’m flawed and riddled with faults, mistakes and failures. But that’s ok. I recognize them and I try to work on them as best I can. I’ve seen the destruction the ego can do and unlike some, I see it as a negative now.
At a recent yoga session led by @thehardcoreyogi , he told me about @raghunathyogi when he found something inscribed at an ashram in the Himalayas.
A Raghu Workshop that simply listed:
1. Work on yourself privately.
2. Figure out your mission or contribution.
3. Find a partner that’s on the same page, stay with your partner.
4. Find teachers and community that upgrade you.
5. Treat your body as a gift to serve your Dharma.
6. Have no enemies. Respect everyone and see them as extraordinary.
This list hit home for me. I think I have four of these down. I need to work on 5) and 6). I am my own worst enemy when it comes to food and despite doing what I can about it, there are factions within my life that do their utmost to poison anything pure or good I do. I must work on letting the ill feeling leave me. I’m sure I’ll mellow with time, but it’s force of habit to get angry for me, especially because I pay attention. 😉
My life has been made considerably richer since @thehardcoreyogi guided me with his yoga, not to mention @servantoftheservant as well. Two shining examples of good and how ones life can improve simply by letting awesome people into your life.
Thank you to the both of you.
I’m blessed and I am all too aware of how lucky I am. The fact that I’ll always be that dorky hardcore kid being instructed by the guy that plays guitar in the bands he likes is, again, not lost on me.
Video for Day 169: Handstand 365. Found a cool way to One Arm in wet sand 🤸🏻♂️🏖 Ikea plastic bowl!
I used to think I was really cool for being able to connect my head to the ground in humble warrior - isn’t it a total contradiction to the name of the pose? Every yoga asana offers a chance to reflect on our attitude towards life. At the end of the day, we need just as much training in how to be at peace with difficulty as we do in how not to get too attached to success! 🙏🏼#gratitudeismyattitude 🙌🏼
This isn’t just a vest and shorts. This is super-soft organic cotton, with non abrasive seams, functional panelling, elasticated drawstring waist and radical natural tones - bathed in the warm, alluring sunlight of a winter morning...
4 to 5 years ago I went to physio for some reason. Don't remember for what. After telling my problem therapist started the assessment. I was asked to do half squat, stand in one leg, flex my ankles, etc etc. 10 mins after all the checks his face looked totally baffled. He appeared as if he doubted his own experience and all that he studied in university. He then said - you look perfectly fine. Then I revealed that I am a Yoga practitioner. Rest all you can imagine what could have happened.
Yeah ~ yogis can be sometimes nightmare to the physiotherapists. So if you are practicing yoga and going to phydio\chiro, first mention that. Else you will unnecessarily waste the specialist's and your time 😄
Name of the pose Bhujapeedasana (shoulder press pose)

"Change is not something that we should fear. Rather, it is something that we should welcome. For without change, nothing in this world would ever grow or blossom, and no one in this world would ever move forward to become the person they're meant to be." anon
This is my Gospel!!!✨✨✨ I just finished an hour and a half first session with a new private yoga client. We had such a great experience!! I soooo LOVE bringing yoga to MEN who have never before been in their bodies in such a heightened state of awareness and presence. Usually they come because they’re starting to feel their bodies aging. Suddenly there are aches and pains, which in the past they just pushed through out of sheer strength and power, but now an unfamiliar level of vulnerability arises as the discomfort becomes too loud and distracting to ignore. It is at this point that these “strong men” are perhaps more open and available than they have ever been to exploring the softer sides of their strength. So much depth and richness is waiting to be uncovered here. I feel excited to think of how these men will grow through coming to know themselves more deeply through this new relationship with their bodies, and how they will have the space and flexibility within to show up in dynamic new ways in their relationships with others. It is a wonderfully tender unfolding and beautifully textured process to witness, and so fulfilling to actually get to facilitate!! I am truly loving everything that is opening up each day as I keep claiming Me over and over, unabashedly, unapologetically, with delight, passion, playfulness all the while trusting my own innate wisdom. There is magic in the air! 😉 ✨❤️✨#bodymindsoul#yogadance#returntoself#aunthenic#noappologies#beaudacious#fortyeight#fortyandfabulous#fountainofyouth#wisewoman#unwinding#eatpraylove#iammyowngod#mensfitness#menshealth#mensyoga#manhood#sensualart
Come play on Sunday - 10am Lululemon OT!
Sometimes I get to the studio early and just play around. Tbh, I had no idea what I was gonna do, but life is like that sometimes.
One step at a time and before you know it you're like, 'lemme turn this jump forward into a handstand' and it kinda works itself out in the end...kinda just like life, right? Haha.
Catch a wave weekly:
Tu 6:15p and Wed 7:30p at @easeyogacafe!.
(If I read this 10 years ago when I started practicing I'd be like, 'yo, this teacher is way too "Yogi" for me. He's trying to relate yoga and life?!?!' But, you know 10 years later...I'm cool with it 😎 #comeatmebro lol)
