Yeah!!! My mommy was just accepted into Texas Wesleyan University Nurse Anesthesia Program!!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Congratulations to Fatima Padron BSN, CCRN who attended a Diversity CRNA Information Session & Airway Simulation Lab Workshop as a critical care nurse before applying to a graduate nurse anesthesia program. Fatima was mentored by CRNAs and SRNAs who solidly support her educational and professional pursuits. So, in a little less than 3 years, her daughter will need a much larger shirt when her mom becomes a CRNA! #DiversityCRNA#Mentoring#TWU#MyMomIsTheBest www.DiversityCRNA.org
Last week mentors helped mentees from @stannschoolnyc design and decorate their own piggy banks. They took the time to discuss the importance of being disciplined and saving money. These cute little piggies won't be opened until they're full! #MentoringUSA#Mentoring#InstrumentsofChange

Omg! 😲 The 4th Annual Daniel Trust Awards are just 9 days away! Today, we are pleased to introduce you to Marjorie Coble who is being honored at the event by 2017 Daniel Trust Scholar Alitash Tertullien. Marjorie writes: "I began working with youth in 1982 after graduating from UMASS-Amherst with my BA in ESL-Bilingual Special Education. Since arriving in Bridgeport, I have worked at Waltersville school, Benjamin Franklin Alternative school, pursued my studies at Sacred Heart University, and have earned my 6th Year-Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies. Working for the Board of Education, I have served as a Teacher on Special Assignment- Behavior Specialist for 5.5 years, Supervisor of Alternative Education for 4.5 academic years opening 2 Alternative Schools-Make the Grade and Park City Academy, Supervisor of Special Education 2.5 academic years, and Assistant Principal for 6 academic years. Meet & Greet:
Hey ladies 👋🏾 my name is Jalyn and I'm the owner of the Black Girl Magic Network. I'm starting this page in hopes that one day we will become a non-profit organization. This page will feature women who are making positive contributions in the community. Twice a month maybe more we will feature black authors, black business owners and black innovators so that young black girls can see that anything is possible. I would also like to build a team of women who want to make positive impact through volunteering in the metro Atlanta area. Please DM if interested!
One of my biggest wishes coming true! 😍🙌🏼🙏🏼
For the past 2 years, 2 years after my divorce, I've been immersed on this awakening journey! On healing every single day! #Healing so I can also heal others! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
It's been hard to get Nico & Noah to get to my speed, but I let go of that a while back! I decided to follow my own path and let them see, come along as they are ready! Big lesson! 👌🏼
It has gone from comments like: "Mom, that is boring! I don't want to breathe. I want to play! I can't focus! It's too hard!" To comments like: "Mom, who is that? Koby Bryant meditating?"
"Mom, what are you doing? What is that noise?" "Noah, that is called #ujjayi breathing. When you breathe from your throat!" "I want to learn that!"
"Mom, I am out of breathe, I feel anxious?" "Nico, let me show you how to breathe deeply with the #AlvaMethod !" 💞
We have talked about the difference between #prayer & #meditation ! The difference with asking for assistance and thanking so then we can be in presence and hear messages from the universe, either through birds, fish, pelicans, and animal; the wind, the ocean, people... there are always messages everywhere! ❤🌊🍃🌴🐟 I tell them: "When we sit in presence we can calm our body and be with ourselves!"
They have joined me in some occasions during my prayers while I am with them and also when I am "getting a hold of myself moments" 😋! I have been able to get them to sit in presence & silence with themselves for max 2 min. without distractions. Sometimes both and sometime only one as you see here. Nico preferred meditating on the hammock!
And I am sure many parents will agree with what I am about to say >> this is a huge accomplishment! 👏🏼👏🏼💪🏼
When you have kids who are super super active, it's a gift to learn this technique! 🙌🏼
This is why I will continue helping them through this journey and all those parents and kids who want to learn one of the greatest free gifts we can give to ourselves! Don't ever give up on trying to get your kids to learn this! It takes time! Even if it starts with 30 sec. it counts! 🙏🏼❤ #spreadlove#morepeace#greatestgifts#lessons#kidslearning#life#kidsmeditation#spirituality#teachthemyoung
