Enjoyed a delicious dinner @mercatovegas last night! This gem is located in St Mark's Square in the Grand Canal Shoppes. The live music and ambiance made me feel like I was back in Venice! Mercato's pasta is handmade daily, seafood is flown in daily, and its one of the few restaurants in the US to use a coal Josper oven. We ordered the grilled prawns, gnocchi, and mushroom risotto - all 3 items were delicious! Highlight of the night was the signature Tiramisu which was made at our table (check out my instastory for a video). They have a daily happy hour and gorgeous event spaces (including an impressive wine cellar) so be sure to check them out if you're ever in Vegas!
We would like to introduce to you our chef de cuisine, Nelson Berrios. Chef Nelson is originally from Guatemala and has been in the business for 11 years. He has worked alongside and studied under celebrity chefs such as Wolfgang Puck, Daniel Boulud, Michael Mina, Michel Richard and Kim Canteenwalla at iconic restaurants on strip properties such as Lupo at Mandalay Bay, Sea Blue at the MGM Grand, Society Cafe at the Wynn, Postrio at the Venetian and Central at Caesars Palace. He brings his expertise in Italian and French fare to curate dishes unique to Mercato Della Pescheria. Chef is constantly creating new and fresh menu items including nightly seasonal specials, and is constantly changing, adapting and teaching his techniques. His favorite and signature dish to Mercato is a 1/2 braised chicken with gnocchi, celery root, pickled pearl onions and shaved ninja and breakfast radishes.
