✨Another shot of my hand carved and fabricated #sterlingsilver choker necklace. To craft these forms I pulled inspiration from carnivorous plants, orchids, vertebrae from prehistoric creatures, and weaponry. This is a one of a kind #jewelry piece that I carved to lay perfectly on a given neck size! Also, it has a name now; Dendrobium.✨
~ My hands don’t usually get sweaty while soldering—they used to, back when I was a noob—but I sure was nervous as I soldered on the band to this lapis version on my finished-in-your-size Efflorescence Ring. 🤞🏼 Everything turned out juuust fine.
Super simple ultra tiny dancer 💃🏻 made for an amazing little dancer who did supremely well at Blackpool with her Cha Cha Cha... @bbcstrictly here she comes! Well done @lannyherd for being such an amazing teacher... #dancer#bracelet#silk#purple#strictly#tiny
Day 076/100 of metal exploration. More playing and another earring. 》My dad used to paint when he was young and I remember him saying "paint a hundred paintings ... and then paint a hundred more!" (He had a shed-full of paintings on the Iron Range that he burned when we moved to Duluth in 1989.) 》》 Basically, just do it and then keep doing it - creating, trying, making, making, making .... and eventually you will know when you've hit on something worth holding on to or worth going deeper with. In some ways, the generative stage is the easiest. It's certainly the free-est, most exhillerating. But, I'm so grateful for my design sensibilities and *abilities*, too. Because rarely is any idea so refined on the first shot that it's ready to go out in the world. Serendipitous beauty is one thing but with intentional work, sitting with it and working through the details brings it to a stronger place. Balancing those elements and those skills are slowly becoming my practice. Spirited refinement, I guess that's becoming my goal. #rainysaturdayreflections#100daysofmetalexploration#sc_100daysofmetal#tiakeoart#silvercocoon#working
Happy Saturday ♡ my little 5yr old just went to his first drop off birthday party today and didn’t cry. this kid of mine cries over everything so I’m having a little proud mama/victory dance moment here.
I don't really do...dainty...or simple. I want bold, fierce jewelry that speaks for itself. Armor is a better word for what me and my badass team of gals create. We might not be the biggest company in the world, but we sure are mighty.
I tried something different and used little fine silver buttons around the bezel of this Lunar Dream 😁 I think it turned out well! This piece will be available in my next store update. Date to be announced 💕
