Y’all seems like I can’t win 2018. A week ago we had a pipe burst in our basement and found foundation issues, before that I was sick for 2 weeks. BUT you guys. It’s looking up. Some goals I have set and thought were unrealistic, are already showing signs of being met. So that is pretty dang cool since these 16 days of January have mostly felt like Mondays. PS: go to our fb and enter to win a FREE engagement session, jewelry set and bride and groom t-shirt’s and mugs.
HEY. TODAY IS MY GRANDRAPIDSAVERSARY. One year ago I packed up my things and moved across the state having little to no plan for my life. And thankfully, my lack of plan has been the best plan I’ve ever had. In the past year I have made some of my favorite memories and have met some of my favorite people in the entire world. I have no idea what this next year will look like but I’m thankful I get to live it on best side of the state. #westsidebestside
If I’ve met you in the last year- comment with a favorite memory that we’ve shared together! I want to read them all!
Balcony views give me all the heart eyes. 😍 There’s something super special about capturing the entire church from up above. It’s truly one of my favorite shots on a wedding day. Does anyone else love this view!?
When you’ve been watching “The Great British Baking Show” for several hours and you feel like you’ve melted into a happy puddle. This show is ligit tv xanax and I will be calling everything scrummy now and forever.
MCVR is a father-daughter team. What does that mean? It’s similar to having a second photographer at a wedding. We want to make sure your time with us is perfect. We realize the incredible value of why 2 people are better than 1. And especially when it’s two people who know what the other is thinking, who make each other proud, & who believe in each other’s dreams. How many people can say they do what they love, love what they do with those who love you right back.
My story as a wedding photographer starts here, photographing my first wedding with my friend @danielle_sergio. We were paid $500 which we split between the two of us. It was a long day, we arrived early that morning and stayed until mid afternoon, but I was on cloud nine. ☁️
I remember people warning me about wedding photography, telling me it was a cut-throat business and there was too much drama. But, that day all I saw was the joy on their faces and two best friends embarking on life’s greatest adventure.
In the years that have followed, I’ve been blessed to work with many couples on their wedding day, and each one is beautiful + unique. I’ve learned SO much about what it takes to be a good photographer - marketing, editing, a quality client experience...to name a few.
In May, I’ll be hosting a photography workshop in Sawyer, MI and sharing everything I’ve learned as a wedding photographer. I cannot tell you enough how valuable the information will be for you as you grow your business! .
Not only will I be teaching educational courses, but there will be styled shoots to add to your portfolio, I’ll take fresh headshots for you, and you’ll have a one-on-one coaching session with me. AND, lodging & food is included. 👌🏼
If you’re ready to take your business to the next level, come to the Joelle Elizabeth Workshop! You can find all of the details and reserve your spot with the #linkinbio . 📸
