Hi Insta fam! For those of you that don't know me personally I wanted to share a little bit about myself. 🤗 I moved to Austin from Miami 11 years ago. I met my hubby and 7 years ago I was lucky to marry the him! @jacob_became_israel Along the way we've had 2 handsome boys together. So here's how I got started with painting! My interest in painting furniture began when I was preparing the nursery for my first born. I was walking one day in my neighborhood and found a dresser for free! I'm sure many of you have come across and awesome freebie you couldn't pass up! 🙋🏻I wanted to paint it to match the theme of my nursery which was forest themed. So I painted a giant tree on the face of the dresser! When I finished that piece I was instantly hooked! The transformation of what it was to what it had become shocked me! That thing was so UGLY before! 😂Since then, I've been painting furniture on and off, but primarily focusing on being a new mom. BUT now that my oldest son is in school, I have been able to focus all my energy on my business. I love to paint furniture! I absolutely love it! There's something about the transformation process that I love. This process is what drives me to work hard! I am so excited to be able to share with you all some tips along the way. I love learning new things from others, so if you have tips for me, please share them! Everyone has something to offer. ☺️Thank you for following me, and thank you for your sweet comments. I look forward to meeting you soon! #austin#atx#smallbusiness#midcenturymodernfurniture#mcm#homedecor#entrepreneur#momtrepreneur#sahm#paintedfurniture#diy#restore#repurpose#restore#maker#creative#bold#texas
We think this is beautiful! Repost from @grillodesigns & @makeitrustoleum - So... this is probably the first time I've done something that my hubby doesn't like 😩. If truth be told I'm not even sure how I feel about this dresser yet myself . I've sort of left it in my bedroom hoping inspiration will strike ... I've had a lot of lovely suggestions to paint the legs which I think I might do at some point (thanks @blancometro @thewoodspa @carla.walker1 ). For now though I'm just waiting... FYI painting furniture isn't one of my strengths you see so any other suggestions welcome! 🙈
I used @makeitrustoleum wax and paint to give this vintage MCM dresser I bought from a local charity store a new look. #howivintage#sundaystylevibe Another modern rustic entry for #myhyggehome . Also thanks to @woodyandflorence for the gorgeous print! .
