Today is a massive victory for the American people and for the victims of sexual assault/misconduct. To the victims we can now prove to them that they are heard and believed by many good people that will work tirelessly to defend them. To the people of Alabama and Doug Jones we can say thank you; thank you for fighting for true American values and preventing a pedophilic, homophobic, racist, mysoginst gain power once again. And to the RNC and GOP Congressional members that supported Roy Moore we can say this; 2018 is just around the corner. We won't forget your endorsement of this monster, and your casting aside of all morales for the sake of one Senate seat. We won't forget the inaction against Trump in regards to his allegations of sexual misconduct as well as his multitude of other follies. We won't forget the failed attempts to destroy the ACA, and the passing of the "tax bill" that was used to not only repeal the estate tax and give billions to the top 1% while raising taxes on the middle class; but also eliminated the individual mandate for health insurance and makes massive reductions to welfare programs. We won't forget any of these atrocities to our nation. And you will pay the price for your greed, corruption, and complete lack of morales. #Midterms2018#Lovetrumpshate
"Where, after all, do universal human rights begin? In small places, close to home -- so close and so small that they cannot be seen on any maps of the world. [...] Unless these rights have meaning there, they have little meaning anywhere. Without concerted citizen action to uphold them close to home, we shall look in vain for progress in the larger world." -- Eleanor Roosevelt
This year, Human Rights Day kicks off a year-long campaign to mark the upcoming 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a milestone document that proclaimed the inalienable rights which everyone is inherently entitled to as a human being -- regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.
It establishes the equal dignity and worth of every person. Thanks to the Declaration, and States’ commitments to its principles, the dignity of millions has been uplifted and the foundation for a more just world has been laid. While its promise is yet to be fully realized, the very fact that it has stood the test of time is testament to the enduring universality of its perennial values of equality, justice and human dignity. Happy #HumanRightsDay to all the fighters out there!

My tombstone/epitaph/obituary will read "'at least I tried to learn from my mistakes'/failures & tried to spread more goodness in the world instead of hate. I tried to leave a honestly better world then when I arrived. @Regrann from @actionprogress - "Someday, our children, and our children's children, will look at us in the eye and they'll ask us, did we do all that we could when we had the chance to deal with this problem and leave them a cleaner, safer, more stable world?"--President Barack Obama
