The highs and lows of breast feeding. I'm proud that I can provide most of the milk Emilia needs. Although we do supplement a couple of bottles a day now. If only the right would produce like the left I could probably feed a baby cow. #milkmachine#moo#thestruggle
Here is my review for #LushLeche
I honestly didnt see much of a difference from #MilkMachine . Except for more high yielding days, but ny milk was still very fatty! These work differently on everyone, give it a try for yourself with 15% off with my code KAIT15 😘😘
Recently I committed to more self care, and for me that looks like more time on my mat. I used to teach yoga, and have a super strong practice. But growing and caring for little humans has taken me away from my practice all together. I actually haven't taken a formal class in a year! ..and haven't taught in 4.
But it makes me feel soo good to move my body in ways I wouldn't otherwise. It makes me feel soo good to connect with spirit, breath, and body. So why NOT find more time for it? For me?
One day at a time, I'm rolling out my mat again..and it turns out Lydia LOVES it. She squeals and laughs every time I forward fold, or move to down dog. She's like my own personal cheerleader.
Slowly slowly, I'm finding my way back.. I'll let you know how it goes.
I have struggled being consistent with my fitness since discovering we were having a baby last year. I worked out every day for over two years and then 💥 BOOM! Life changed. I had to adapt. I pushed as far as I could for as long as I could and I made it 20 weeks doing my normal cardio and strength training until I had to slow down. Thankfully, BOD has Active Maternity workouts, so I didn't abandon ship completely. 🙏🏻 Fast forward to Frank's arrival ⏩ I had to sit and nurse and not over extend myself because here's a fact- 💡Did you know that when a woman gives birth, she has a wound the size of a DINNER PLATE within her uterus? It's true. 😳 The placenta detaches and leaves a large open wound. THIS is one of the •many• reasons why we must have grace and compassion for ourselves and allow time to heal. I was not able to get started right away at 6 weeks PP but I tried. I dabbled. I got serious 3 weeks ago and it feels so good to have those endorphins pumping again! One thing I never let go of was the consistency with my superfoods. ✋🏼 Nutrition is PARAMOUNT when it comes to....everything? I was going to say pregnancy or postpartum or weight loss or maintaining but it's actually just everything. This one delectable shake keeps me regular, nourished, energized and satisfied. All the important things. 👌🏼 AND it also helps my milk production that has been wonky from the get go. Anyway- I'm still always nursing. I'm still struggling to find time and energy to press play and work out (I do it, anyway). But I'm never giving up on the one thing that keeps me going! So thankful for a silly shake that I thought was too expensive and not worth it. 🤷🏻♀️ Proved myself wrong and going 28 months strong of my daily dose of superfoods, vitamins, pro and prebiotics for my guts, adaptogen herbs, brain food and all around goodness. The fact that I can sit here peacefully and nourish my baby knowing he gets the goods from my milk that is fortified by my nutrition choices makes me feel damn good. 🙌🏻 Have you tried Shakeo? You should! I can help you get a sampler. It's worth it. Promise.
I forgot to give my final impression of #MilkMachine ! I did see and extra 3oz a day rise for a few days but then i went back down, my milk was much fattier and I was able to nurse more often. Usually at night we give my LO formula because i dont pump enough all day to feed her not from the breast day and night. Everyone's results vary! Next once I'm done with #LushLeche I'll have #DairyFairy and #DairyDiva to review :)

Baby boy is 3 months old and I've managed to pump over 3000+ oz of breastmilk for him on top of EBF. Before Aiden was born I didn't plan on pumping at all I planned to EBF. Well those plans changed when I went into preterm labor & my baby was placed in the NICU. Aiden has come a long way from being 4lbs to now 9lbs. I'm just so proud of our journey thus far. I'm relieved I no longer have to pump. I'm just EBF, but I'm so glad I have all of this milk as back up. I just want to give a shoutout to all of my pumping moms because I know how tiring it can get and time consuming. Keep pushing you got this!! Also a shout out to my amazing babe who bought me this brand new deep freezer for all of Aiden's milk. Moving all that milk was a pain 😂🙈. #breastfeeding#pumping#exclusivelybreastfeeding#breastmilkisthebestmilk#instadaily#instagood#breastfeedingmommy#milkfordays#milkmachine#thebestforthebest
This avocado toast is what dreams are made of!✨💚😋🥑🍞
Sprouted grain bread, coconut oil, avocado, and pumpkin seeds. 💛💙🔶🥄
A super simple AND super healthy snack! Oh and I love that it fits my meal plan, feels like an indulgence, and fuels the #milkmachine 😉🥛🤘🏻
Hey guys! @kindredbravely, a company that sells the best of the best in nursing bras, has featured me on their blog.😄The link is in my bio if you want to check it out. It's a collection of my nursing photos, and my thoughts on breastfeeding the second time around.
Anyway, these people even have nursing pjs, which I think is super cool. No more stretching out your tank tops at night (or the necklines on hubbys tshirts. 👕🙈) #notsponsored
To most of you out there this one and a half ounce may seem like nothing to you but to me it is double what I was pumping a week ago. It represents weeks of work with increased feedings (focused her with toys) more pumping, pills (which I just got last week!)and tea. My nine-month-old basically wasn't eating very much at the breast because she was getting frustrated nothing was coming out or not fast enough for her so I would cave-in feed her food which she loves. She's been sleeping through the night for a while and I've been in school while working full-time overnights as a nurse and lactation consultant, so things have gotten a little dire around here. I've had help from some breastfeeding mama friends who without i would be lost! #milkmachine was just what I needed to give that extra boost, as we still need milk for daycare. Thank you @euphoricherbals for such a fantastic product. I can only hope the amount will continue to double as she likes 3 oz in her bottle at least! .
Three. Months. Old.
Our baby is three months old.
Frank is becoming his own person. It's a friggin JOY to watch. He follows my voice and seeks me out in a room. He gets excited when Daddy comes home. Big Brother is his best pal. He's baby talking and giving us a sneak peek of a giggle. He kicks like a champ. He can eat his entire fist. All he wants is the thumb but the whole fist is what's happening for now. When he's chillin' and relaxed, he puts his thumbs between his pointer and middle finger like "got your nose!" regularly. He loves loud music. He loves when I sing to him. His favorite toys make noise or crinkle. When he nurses, he holds on to my hair with one hand and my shirt of pendant with the other. He smiles the biggest smiles. He is a grunter and we think he'll have a raspy voice. We're in love. These 92 days have been my best because of this little human.
