We either visualize and we’re a part of the solution or we visualize and we’re a part of the problem.
With our selves, our partners, our families, our friends, our communities and the world at large.
In every regard, the images in YOUR mind are either fuelling or diffusing, creating or destroying. Your visualization is either one of anger, resentment, rage, righteousness, jealousy or fear, or it’s one of love, peace, harmony, connection and possibility.
Ask yourself everyday, are you fueling or are you diffusing? Creating or destroying?
I’m the first to admit this is easier said than done. When I’m hurt, I don’t want to be nice. When I’m angry, I don’t want to be loving. This understanding helps me a lot - if I’m not a part of the solution, I’m a part of the problem ❤️
I paused to listen outside the kitchen door late last night before I went to bed. .
I could hear her moving around on the tiles, pacing in circles. .
See, my old dog is failing. She has dementia, and engages in repetitive behaviours.
It’s painful to watch sometimes. It’s like her operating system gets stuck in a loop.
She does the same thing over and over on autopilot until something snaps her out of it (usually me dangling a distraction snack in front of her to interrupt her pattern).
Then it occurred to me, we as people do this all the time, only we do it over a longer time frame.
We mindlessly engage in patterns of ingrained behaviour that mostly do us no favours, either out of habit or lack of imagination. .
We think the same uninspired thoughts, do the same work, go to the same places, eat the same things, make the same life-sapping choices, procrastinate on the same things, tolerate the same problems, have the same conversations. Do the same shit. Over and over. .
Some of us binge eat, binge drink, binge-watch Netflix, distract ourselves, endlessly scroll Facebook, check our emails, follow the links we’re told to click, re-check Facebook, sit in the same seat on the sofa and watch drivel on tv we’re not really interested in, whatever numbs us 🍕🍔🍫🍻🍷
We tell ourselves the same BS excuses and stories about why we can’t have what we want and why we’re stuck where we are.
Sometimes we break out in a new direction all full of energy, then either get scared, burn out, freak out or fizzle out, just to repeat it all again at a later date.
Day to day, week to week, year to year. Project to project. Relationship to relationship. .
It’s like we sleepwalk on a hamster wheel of sameness 🐹
Anything to distract ourselves from the truth.
That these are just our chosen habits and self-imposed limitations.
That we have a say in our own lives.
That it’s our choice.
That we can choose something else.
That we can take control.
Breaking out of it is totally doable.

Negative self-talk can be kind of hypnotic can’t it? The more we do it, the more we hypnotise ourselves to BELIEVE these thoughts. BUT the great news is that we have the power to create new ones. It starts with dialling in to what we say to ourselves and doing two simple things: • | •
• Challenge it. Reduce its power and ask yourself if this thought, if the words you’re saying to yourself are REALLY true. What is this current thought doing for you?
• Once you’ve disempowered the negative, dig deep and find a positive. It doesn’t have to be massive, it just has to be one positive thing that you BELIEVE. Start simple. Change your input, notice the output. 👊🏽
Parece que el #BlueMonday en mi caso se ha trasladado al martes. Como ya os comenté, estoy tomando un tratamiento hormonal para la amenorrea que me está causando un fuerte episodio de acné. He intentado darle la menor importancia porque sé que estos granitos son algo anecdótico y que se irán con el paso de los días. Pero esta mañana cuando me he levantado y me he mirado al espejo... Pfff. Casi no reconozco mi rostro.
He decidido no permitir que un 'problema' con mi físico hunda mi día por completo, así que voy a focalizar mi buena energía en todas las cosas bonitas que me encuentre, incluso las más pequeñas. Conozco el poder de mi mente y sé lo lejos que podemos llegar si trabajamos juntas.

As I mentioned, I am taking a hormonal treatment for amenorrhea that is causing a strong episode of acne. I tried to give it the least importance because I know that these granites are something anecdotic and that they will go away with the time. But this morning when I got up and looked in the mirror ... Pfff. I almost do not recognize my face.
I have decided not to let a 'problem' with my physique sink my day completely, so I'm going to focus my good energy on all the beautiful things that I find, even the smallest ones. I know the power of my mind and I know how far we can go if we work together.
We need to ensure we are sensitive to our thought line. Live in the moment. Consciously aim for the best and let it be evident in your thoughts and expressions because the subconscious will bring it back to you.
We all aware of the coffee analysis: when the coffee spills, it is not about who spills the coffee rather the coffee spills simply because the cup contains a liquid content which is coffee... #mindpower#consciousness#thoughts#risingtidesociety#themindyproject
