“Just Accept It”
Giclée Fine Art print of a two-page spread from one of my adventure journals. These pages were created in a state of reflection and discovery. I was in a rural village in Crete, sat down criticising myself for using too much blue in my work. It took a while for me to just accept the fact that blue is a fricking great colour and I will use it however much I want. #ownit#beyourself#justacceptit#bluevibes

This piece was also done for a friend near and dear to my heart, @eden_rc. It was built up of layers indicative of the growth and change we have experienced, both individually and together, over time from our more formative years to the present. Embedded in the overall warmth of this growth are tones of darkness and cold, abysmal saturation that lends itself to the cohesiveness of the work's spiral finality, the rather didactic vortex the piece somehow found itself becoming. These intersecting and competing layers of inviting warmth and dissonant cool darkness created a fitting conceptual playground in which to visually transcribe some of the weight of this relationship's growth; what it has taught me about the world, about myself, and about how much I have truly come to love and appreciate her.
