So often we take more than we need! I good curry undoes me every time 🤤 What if we took what actually serves us right now. Spring is a'knockin and I reckon there is no better time to practice a little aparigraha. In a society of excess, the 5th of patanjali's yama's is tappin me on the shoulder more than ever lately. Maybe it's the ever present shred of winter but I'm feeling particularly grateful for that that I have now. #shredded#mindscape
On the way to fulfill your dreams, we'll walk hours in the deep jungle where so many will give up. Monsters will try to tear us in pieces before we begin to climb the moutain. Our own peers will fall and die sadly, but we won't look down and we will reach the top after days and days of perseverence. Those who failled were frightened, they could only see the risks ahead, so they became victims of these risks. We succeeded because we could see and clearly visualize the top, and gave more energy to the determination of reaching our goal than the fear of the road. Those who fail focus on the risks and end up fearing it. Those who succeed are taller than the risks and see solutions behind every "problem". Have a good day, love.
Legend has it on a #September day in 1931, CS Lewis, JRR Tolkien and Hugo Dyson took a stroll along the Cherwell in the grounds of #magdalencollege and had a fascinating discussion on #myths . Years later, Lewis wrote "What the Bird Said Early in the Year,” which is set in Addison’s Walk. ..#onlyinoxford#britishhistory#embracingtheseasons#autumncolours#fallcolors
"I heard in Addison’s Walk a bird sing clear:
This year the summer will come true. This year. This year.
This year time’s nature will no more defeat you,
Nor all the promised moments in their passing cheat you.
This time they will not lead you round and back
To Autumn, one year older, by the well-worn track.
This year, this year, as all these flowers foretell,
We shall escape the circle and undo the spell."
|Incense| "This memory that fills the room, like a thought holding torch emitting no light; will I be remembered?"
Bringing some works in for frame day tomorrow so they can all be shipped off to Maryland for the upcoming "Melancholia" pop up event; hosted by @april_alayne. It'll be cool to be set up alongside other talents.
