Hello to all my new friends and followers! 😍🙌 I’ve got great news! Blotterart.com has made more authentic (there are NO drugs on them) collectible blotter art pieces with some of my best selling designs on them. My 2012 drawing “Cerebral Dysfunction” has been printed and perforated and as soon as I receive my shipment I will put it up for sale! There are also 3 other designs being made that I can’t reveal just yet — Keep ya eyes peeled! 👁👁👁
For years now, since I've started traveling and teaching, I've been having this recurring nightmare where I am losing my big suitcase with EVERYTHING in it.
Sometimes it's not a nightmare. It's a daydream. .
Happy Birthday to my lovely sister and partner in crime! Lucky to have a sister that cares for me so much and sets such a good example. Love you Rach! 🎁🎂🎉🎊🎈
Behind the scenes (2 of 3). The art I'm working on right now is going to be a surprise for someone, so I can't share it with you yet. But I can share more about my tools and how and where I work!
This is my desk, where I do computer things, finish paintings and drawings I've started when I was out and about, record demos of new music and plan things. Sometimes I like some quiet, but usually I'm listening to new music on Spotify or juicy podcasts about wonder and creativity and meaning, like @the_good_life_project or while I play with different colours or marks.
Sometimes I'll have to stop for a bit because I'll have a song idea come to me. I'll record it on my phone and play with it until it needs a break. If words are coming, I'll listen back straight away and type them up while it still feels fresh and I can remember what I sang. (I can't always make out the words later.) Today is one of those days. There are 2 new songs tickling my brain!
I work best with green around me. As well as that bug plant on the left, I have 2 chain of hearts plants strung up across the wall above me, suppirted by jewelry wire I attached to 3M hooks. :) I also have some favourite art on the wall for inspiration by John Olsen, Gustav Klimt and Waterhouse.

This is my kit that I take with me EVERYWHERE, just in case there's a surprise opportunity to draw something interesting or make art mess with some new stranger. As soon as I started carrying art materials every day, I found it hard not to also create art every day. (The only times I don't are if I'm going supermarket shopping in a hurry, or if I'm going for a run.) It includes
- 2 pencil cases full of posca pens and fineliners
- watercolor pencils (several brushes inside)
- watercolour paints
- 2 visual diaries (one big and one small)
- folder of "almost finished but not quite there yet" art works and several sheets of different beautiful high quality art paper
- brown paper I use as a drop sheet to protect other people's tables I set up at (so I can still let go and make mess!)
- a page of "sensation vocabulary" (words about feelings), great for new ideas and for working out why a piece isn't feeling right yet.

I made six of these, each one a little different because they are supposed to represent a unique begining to a journey. This one is sold but there are two other pink ones available on my website. Link in bio. #anniegriffethart#popart#aliceinwonderland
