Would you fancy a refreshing Rhuby Fizz for your summer party? A lovely combination of gin, Rhubarb liqueur and Campari, lime &honey topped up with Tonic water is the perfect treat for a hot summer day.
Blueberry Gin Sour
1) In a cocktail shaker add ice, gin (75ml), blueberry syrup (60ml), the juice half a lemon and one egg white.
2) Shake vigorously until frothy.
3) Pour through a strainer.
4) Garnish with a sprig of thyme or some lemon peel.
1) Add blueberries (1 1/2 cups), water (1/2 cup), sugar (1/2 cup), and lemon juice (2 Tbsp) into a saucepan over medium heat
2) Bring to a slow boil, stir frequently.
3) In a bowl, mix together cornstarch (2 Tbsp) and cold water (2 Tbsp)
4) Slowly stir the cornstarch into the blueberry mixture.
5) Boil for another 5-10 minutes, stir frequently.
6) Set aside to cool.
7) Refrigerate in an airtight container.

To the untrained eye this looks like just a frosty glass about 3/4 full and with no garnish. To us, it's a kick-ass swizzle that went through recipe testing this afternoon. Word to the wise: stock up on Batavia Arrack this summer.

Take a second to think about every man and woman that is no longer with us, who dedicated their lives to serving our nation. I raise my glass to them for protecting and fighting for the liberties that we enjoy on a daily basis. I remember my grandfather who fought in WWII and my father who fought in Vietnam, that I miss dearly, not just today but everyday. We're experimenting with a celery cocktail. So far, our favorite part is the vibrant color. Highlighting the celery flavor has been a little trickier. This one has tequila, celery leaf juice, grapefruit, Green Chartreuse and club soda. Any suggestions?
It was easy to mask the celery flavor even though the celery juice was intense. Interestingly, a small amount of Green Chartreuse overpowered the drink.
