I started taking this with frankincense in a veggie cap everyday a little over a week ago and I noticed such a huge difference after the first few days in my mood. I noticed I have been a lot more patient and grounded, and I just feel so much more relaxed. 263/365 .. Healing your energy & fixing blocked chakras. 🙏🏼 Listen to your body. Sometimes we get so busy we tune out the needs of our body + start running on autopilot while things start silently shutting down. Slow down and listen to what your body is trying to tell you
Recently I learned that my Root Chakra is blocked which is the foundation of physical energy and spiritual energy for the body. So like, in other words - you feel pretty f*cked up when it's blocked 😂. And this is the foundation so if you don't fix this nothing can operate as it should.
Some ways to fix this is being barefoot in nature, doing yoga, eating healthier foods (red in colour is recommended), and generally feeling more rooted and grounded. Recently I've had these intuitive urges float to me - ideas that spring up in my head that I know are from a greater source. Telling me what I need in this moment. I tend to swing from one extreme to the next - and so this month is a new journey doing a complete 180. I've had urges all summer to go vegan, to try to cure my stomach issues from the inside instead of relying on medications. So I'm listening finally. I'm on day 3 of a 30 day vegan challenge, attending a yoga class everyday, and no alcohol for 30 days. Coming from the opposite side of this summer where I ate like garbage, drank more than I should, and didn't do any goddamn yoga. Get some clarity of mind, slow down and heal. 263/365 .. So excited to say I'll be getting the help of someone special + very talented soon to begin working on my Holistic Hippie website and blog 💛. I've been dreaming of a blog since my early days in university - and I've had several up and down over the last few years. This time I want to do it right (and make it look pretty, duh). All things travel, spirituality, musings, road trips, health, wellness, astrology + Moon Tracking and other hippie dippie shit that I love. Finally making some dormant dreams come to life and couldn't be a better time with the new moon finally giving us some energy back after the eclipse.
It's back to school time, for me and my kids. 🤓💕 With our youngest being introduced to preschool, I knew he'd catch something. It's inevitable, and that's fine. It doesn't stress me out like it once did. 🙌🏻
But let me introduce you to these five lovely oils... Oregano, Lemon, Frankincense, On Guard and Melaleuca (tea tree). Used together, this powerhouse is something else. I have a kid friendly, diluted roller that I use when they are sick, or when my daughter mentions a sore throat. 🙏 My little guy is already on the mend (today is day 3)! We roll over the glands, back of the neck and bottoms of the feet. And I can't say enough about how great this concoction truly is! 💕🙌🏻
After doing my oil bedtime routine tonight I had this pulling feeling that I needed to share what I do and why I do it for anybody out there going through some rough times and just need more peace in their life.
So the first thing I do is grab my @itoviscanner and do a quick scan to see what my body needs for support. I apply the top two oils that my body needs where I feel I will benefit from the most. If it's an emotional oil a lot of times I'll apply on my solar plexus and chest. If it's an oil for immune support or to target something specific I'll take internally, apply directly, or apply at the pressure points that correlate with the issue. I also put a calming oil in the diffuser next to my bed. Then I grab my gratitude journal and write down what I'm grateful for and also some daily affirmations that really speak to me that day. Once I say the affirmations out loud a few times, I turn on my meditation app and tune out all of the noise in my life. Meditation has taught me to be more present and helps me react better to situations that are more stressful. It's all in the routine you guys. I've been off the grid, I fell down the rabbit hole of my own mind this summer + couldn't seem to find my way back out. Got lost for awhile back there but happy to say I'm back, or at least the beginning of being back. Feeling like myself again and excited to start easing into writing again, creating, taking photographs, connecting, musing about the universe + just being more present in this world rather than lost in my own thoughts. A massive theme I am going with as I've now turned 28 is to completely surrender to the flow and give in to my intuition almost blindly - in its entirety. Instead of thinking logically and practically (hey, these were never my strong suits anyways) I'm completely putting my trust in the universe and going with my intuitive thoughts + pulls. You'll learn some of these in time. Some I've already acted on and some are still to come. Universe I am falling back and trusting you completely. Blindly. Unwaveringly. It's strange but I have an absence of any fear, only trust. Excited to share more as this unfolds with you (as I don't know the next chapter to my story just quite yet but I know it will be a good one). But I just wanted to say from the bottom of my heart I'm happy as hell to say I am back - and I missed so many of you. Let's get back to making magic and being present - out of our heads and into our hearts we go 💛

This is one of my favorite ways to practice half moon pose when first learning. Having a second pair of hands to help adjust is also nice. You want to press both hips back into the wall and try and get both shoulders on the wall to help open up the front of the body. Next make sure the front foot is facing forwards to open hip and inner thigh. Utilize core engagement to sustain elevated lift. .
If you have a second pair of hands having someone gently press your hip and shoulder to the wall to help open the body. Again hold as long as feel needed. Barn door optional!
