I'm curious... Where are you following from? PNG? New Zealand? Australia? Anywhere else? Let know in the comments and in return I'll tell you something about me. Deal? Sweet. Let's go. Ok, when I'm asked about my memorable travel highlights to date, it's actually a recent trip that jumps out. Something I did just before heading to PNG. A trip in my home country of New Zealand where I cycled from Picton to Wanaka for 14 days covering over 800km. It was epic. I'm not a long distance cyclist either but no word of a lie I would have been happy to cycle another 14 days once I reached Wanaka. The feeling of getting up early each day and jumping on the bike, being so close to your surroundings and the slowness of travel - I highly recommend it. I have a feeling that my time in Papua New Guinea will be something I mention in the future when asked that question...

In the end, we will conserve only what we love. We love only what we understand. We will understand only what we are thought. - Baba Dioum ///// 365 days ago, I was in the Rockies, photographing and freezing my little hands off! Now it's learning all about geology, human history, and flora & fauna!
it’s funny I hadn’t ever gotten out here, having spent so much time around Lillooet Lake. a buddy in university had a cabin out there, I remember days- that seem forever ago- studying for finals without service. the past few years I’ve scoured the shores for primo camp spots away from the crowds, had some great weekends with better people, but never made it this far. these springs are a real solid jaunt down a service road. for the last bit it feels like you might never arrive, we did arrive though, and it was well worth the wait. just a day before Halloween and the perfect setting. it had an eerie quality, a river rushing past swallowing up all other sounds, steam rising from the mysterious hot pools, it was beautiful but remote, peaceful but ominous. I might not go back for a while, one of those places I’d like to remember just like this, because this was good, this was perfect.
I don’t do photography as a business, at least not a profitable one 😜. But I love printing these pictures, and I’ve been getting questions about buying prints this Christmas season—shoot me a message if you or someone you are gifting would like a print to frame or canvas to hang!
Usually I start to feel super Christmassy in like October but this year I'm finding it hard to find my Christmas spirit and I think it's because I can't find my Justin Bieber Mistletoe album #thegrinchwhostolemyJBalbum ?
