Would you guys believe this photo is in Central Park? It’s from the first time my friends and I visited New York. I’d landed about 3 hours before, got a coach into the city then a taxi to my hostel. I knew my friends were somewhere but I had no idea where. So, I chilled out at the hostel for a bit and 20 minutes later, they turn up fresh from chatting to some random people in a coffee shop. We had a few hours to kill before our other buddy turned up so we headed one block across from our hostel to Central Park. Now I could show you all the other photos I took that afternoon or from that 3 day trip to New York but this is one of my faves. It was totally surreal being with two of my best friends in one of the busiest cities in the world. It was even more surreal having a stroll through Central Park as if it’s something we did every weekend. We then went onto have an epic holiday which included seeing Rudimental, going up the Empire State Building, and watching the New York Yankees beat the Boston Red Sox 🙌
Have any of you guys met up with your friends abroad? Where did you go?
❄️#photographerslife#itstough
Day 16 • Fireplace/warmth • #myhousethismonth
Before our building work we had a well loved stove (from an enthusiastic go-large-or-go-home stove selling mate of ours). On certain days Mr M cranked it up, so that it packed out a heat that only Great Grandma could handle 🔥 There were plans to re-install it (new location entirely), but for reasons too dull to go into, defunct & pointless, it currently resides in our garage 😟. Great Grandma, is warmed by the modern phenomena of underfloor heating instead & it’s blankets rather than fireplaces for extra cosiness at ours. 🤞here’s to one day for fire & us again, and for now, show me your flickering flames 😍
Every Tuesday, Olivia from our office is going to post a tip about our products, the ingredients or just beauty in general; here’s her first one! .
At Bramley we know a thing or two about apples, although not named after these quintessential fruits, our ethos aligns itself quite nicely with its
symbol of English nature at its best. We also use apple seed oil in a number of our products, and here's why:
Apples contain copper which aids the production of melanin in the body- the pigment that protects your skin from the sun and gives you a sun kissed
glow. As well as Vitamin C which helps to synthesise collagen for a brighter, more youthful complexion. That's why apple seed oil can be found in both our Soothing and Uplifting body oils 🍏🍏🍏
This is the smiley vibe I’m trying to attract today but it’s going to be harder than I thought 😒
Last night I spent my whole evening persuading these two to go to sleep 💤 after a game of musical beds and a lot of blackmail on my part they finally went to sleep in their own beds 🛏 ⠀⠀
Yet here we are awake again and I feel like I’ve only just dropped off 🙄 and have two very tired grumpy children!
Today will be sponsored by a gymnastics session (I don’t like coffee ☕️) to tire them both out and hopefully I can do some more persuading for an afternoon nap 😉
As a terribly fussy eater as a child, mainly choosing to avoid anything that wasn't a sausage or chips (and only tolerating carrots of ALL the vegetables), I was sure I'd be given some fussy eaters of my own to contend with. Archie has become more difficult with age, sticking his nose up at anything that isn't surplus to his exact requirements (and I can't bring myself to be mad when I was the same and still have a small appetite to this day), but Jesse so far bloody loves a good dinner, the messier and more orange the better. 😂 I couldn't not share this shot and I'm actually blown away because there was barely any light in the room whilst taking this and I've recently received a 50mm lens (early birthday gift — thanks Mum & Dad!) that I'm SO impressed with. Shots like this pretty much sum up why I blog and why I keep an online diary for my kids to nose through in the future. PS. Have a look at my stories for this shot in action, it's worth it. 😂
I’m a true believer you should “do what you love and love what you do.” Who agrees?
It’s certainly something I live by hence what we do is so varied and we love it all. Next up for January is a wedding this weekend, our Gin & Jazz night next week and some mentoring and training sessions which I love. Working with people to help them become more focussed and successful is so humbling.
So, whatever you do today, make sure you do something you love and you will be even more productive.

I’ve got some good news for you - we made it through blue Monday and we’re now more than halfway through the month! How has your January been so far? Mine has actually been pretty lovely, filled with lots of down time and exciting work opportunities. Here’s hoping the rest of the month is full of the same!
