Today I am feeling strong, healthy, patient and full of joy.
I have been spending a lot of time working on myself and I can really feel it is starting to pay off. I know there is still time but I haven't had one episode of depression hit me this winter. If you struggle with depression then you know how much of a life changer that can be!
Sure...there have been hard days. Days where I have low energy and I just want to sit or days when I am mentally exhausted and I just want some alone time, but I haven't had the feeling of not wanting to get out of bed for days on end in months!
Today, I am grateful for that because I never know when it will hit me.

Just finished week 1 of my new fitness & nutrition program on Sunday!!
At the beginning of the month I decided to take a before picture in some crop jeans that were currently way too small. (At the end of summer they fit.)😬 As I've shared before, with holidays, vacation, family events- my nutrition took a downhill slide and this was the result! 👎 I tried those pants on again today and they almost fit! Yay!
Here are my take aways so far:
1. FOOD is FUEL. Period. We must eat right to fuel our bodies. These workouts are tough. I need to be eating healthy so I can get through them and give my body the nutrients that it needs to recover and build muscle!
2. I have more energy, brain fog is disappearing. Clean food does wonders!
3. We aren’t supposed to weight ourselves yet, but I did and I’m down 4.2lbs. YAY! :-) and down 2.5” inches in my waist!
4. Being prepared with food is key! If I’m not going to be home, I bring food with me, so I can stay on track and follow the timed nutrition.
5. When I eat healthy, whole foods & food that is less process, I actually have LESS cravings and LESS desire to snack. I feel full longer.
6. These workouts are tough, but I actually like that. They are new and different and CHALLENGe is a good thing! I feel like my body is changing already. This program targets so many different muscles- especially in the core and booty!

Hey girl! I have a funny little story to tell you, lol 😅
Took my daughter to the eye doctor yesterday and they had this awesome play area. In that play area, they have these giant Lego/Duplo blocks. 👍
Well the children, who were mostly older and taller than my daughter saw her stacking the blocks like this. They all got excited and saw her vision😎
So they all collaborated to build the tower taller. I was quite impressed by this tbh. 👍
One of the boys stood on the chair to get it as taaaallll as his little body could streeetttcccchhh, lol. So when they were finished building it as tall as they could, one of the boys still there looking up at it and said, " wow that must be 100 ft tall!" 😆
It wasn't taller than me so I chuckled and asked him "If that's 100 feet tall then how tall am I?" 😌
His reply was, "oh, I know, you're 500 ft tall!" 😁
You know on anime when the background shatters behind the character and turns black with a spotlight shining on them and they're moping or whatever? I sort of felt like that yet I still had to laugh at the same time, lol😆😵😅

Lunch with a side of Pineapple!! Benefits of pineapple towards the end of pregnancy are that it can supposedly induce labor. Obviously you have to eat quite a bit plus other factors for it to work but it is one way that can help.

I've been struggling a bit this last week.
It's not that the kids have been especially difficult or Tom has been gone a lot. I've even been getting a little more sleep than I usually do. Sometimes I can't predict when or why I'll need a breather.😥
Motherhood is a full time job. If I'm home, which I almost always am, I'm on the clock. All day. All night.🕦
The responsibility of caring for your children's basic needs, in addition to getting them where they need to go, keeping them safe, teaching them, and trying not to screw them up forever can feel EXHAUSTING.💤
So I'm here to remind you that it's okay if you need a break. It's okay for you to pour yourself a glass of wine. I guarantee you that every mom you follow on Instagram has had moments of feeling like a complete failure. I'm one of them.🍷
Tom and I have a kind of shorthand now. If I ask him, "Hey, is it okay if I 'take some time'"? he knows exactly what I'm talking about.💌

Mir fehlen immer noch die Worte. Auch beim dritten Mal. Eben war ich duschen und sah mir meinen Bauch im Spiegel an. Er hat Streifen, er ist schwabbelig und leer. Mein Bauch und mein gesamter Körper haben so enorm viel geleistet und das in 4 Jahren. Drei Kinder durften in diesem Bauch wachsen. Ich bin grad so voller Hormone, dass mir die Tränen kullern. Es ist immer wieder ein Wunder und wenn ich daran denke, dass unser wunderbares Wunschmädchen tatsächlich das letzte Baby in unserer Familie sein soll, dann werde ich traurig.
Did a booty workout this morning using this little band and let me tell you, that sucker did its job. Don’t let the simplicity or size of this thing fool you!!! Day 9 of this workout program is done & I think one of the reasons I have been able to get up a little earlier some of these days is because I’m excited to see what doing this program is going to do for me-physically & mentally!! (I’ll be honest, I am NOT a morning person & almost talked myself to going back to sleep) but when you can feel changes already happening, it becomes addicting to keep going. So, yeah, maybe I could have pushed snooze & went back to bed but that is not going to get me to my goals.
And I have a group of awesome ladies doing this with me, I don’t want to let them down by not showing up, knowing they are doing the work too! So I will step out of my comfort zone & do the things I KNOW works! After all, no one is going to do it for me😉

I share my cart so you can see what I actually buy. I mean, I buy everything you see on my kitchen table but I usually leave out the food that I don’t eat (oatmeal, noodles, popcorn) because this is MY page not my family’s.
Just to show you that my whole family doesn’t eat like me and I don’t expect them to either.
You can also see that my cart doesn’t clean “junk foods”. I’m ok with some variation, but I also draw a line in the sand for some things.
I feed my family healthy foods with slight variations to make sure everyone is happy and full.
