One of the things I have wanted more than anything since Sydney and Shelby were little is to be the place where they want to spend their time with friends. A divorce happened, and that has not been the case.
We live at least 30 minutes from most of their high school friends, as they go to school where their dad teaches. None of their friends families particularly are interested in driving all the way over here. I have come to be a bit of a chauffeur, but I don't mind. I've actually gotten to know a lot of the kids they hang out with just by this simple act. Priceless these days.
Tonight Sydney invited her boyfriend over for dinner. This is making my heart sing! Sydney, Shelby and Edgar are all downstairs looking through baby pictures, laughing and having a fun time! I'm Eating. It. Up.
Divorce is hard, and sometimes things don't turn out to be exactly how we want. Hang in there and find a way to rewrite your story how you want it to be. Don't settle for anything less!

Throw back to 3 years ago when I was prepping for my bikini competition.
It was one of the hardest things I've done. Mentally & emotionally challenging.
It was fun to check off the bucket list.✔️ I still can't believe I walked across that stage in next to nothing, having my body being judged.
It was def an experience and so glad I challenged myself to it.

Moms and wives, we often set the example and can help our families so much by being proactive in living a healthier lifestyle and offering natural food choices that nourish and build strong bodies. Of course there is still a little junk food around 😎 All about balance 🔺🔻 When you work out first thing, who wants to crash progress? We enjoyed eggs, chicken sausages and sauteed veggies for breakfast and salads for lunch. This weekend was kind of a dry run for a future empty nest 🤤

Even on vacation ... The old me would have slept in and ordered room service for breakfast. The old me would have said "I'm on vacation so I can do whatever I want"!! 👆🏻👆🏻 Up early and got my scheduled workout done in the hotel. 👊🏻👊🏻 I really like the new me ... ❤️❤️
Ok FINE let's talk about it!
seems to be the topic on my page lately and although I don't mind 😉I just need to clarify somethings
1️⃣ I only workout 30-45 minutes a day
2️⃣ I eat 3 times a day (roughly 1500 calories)
3️⃣ I finally have found the foods and drinks that have been wrecking my system for years and removed them.
I am the most content I have been in all my life (and thats not because of the abs).
It's funny that people think you live an "extreme " life when you make healthy changes but no one wants to speak up and say anything when you drink too much, eat shitty and don't take care of yourself.
So each to their own.....
Not sure why I was up so early but I was wide awake at 3:30 this morning. Tried to get back to sleep and just laid there until 4:30 when I gave up on that idea. Got my workout in early since I was moving already and the house was still quiet. Tomorrow I will be starting a new round of this program and I wanted to get myself stretched out and reset to go! Today will be a day of meal planning and prepping along with cleaning the house and working on figuring out my schedule for the next couple of weeks! I love being organized, it helps me feel like I have some semblance of control! Lol!
As a mom of 3 (teenagers and a tween) we don't get a ton of time away just my husband and myself. At this stage in life it takes an insane amount of logistics to get away and have everyone continue to be where they need to be.
We made it happen this weekend. We are currently in Seattle and will be heading up to Victoria, BC tomorrow.
Do you and your spouse make time to get away? We don't do it nearly enough. We try our best but certainly could be better.

Do you dread the thought of putting on a swimsuit? Or even shorts?
Me to... until today. For the first time in my life I did not dread the thought of wearing my swimsuit in public. It's almost like I'm in some sort of dream. .
Am I at my goal? No, but through personal development and hard work I have become just as strong and confident INSIDE as I am outside.
Sure, I've got big thighs, a thicker midsection, stretch marks, and more... but I'm here... I'm alive
.. and I'm strong. There should be no shame in that. No shame in just BEING YOU, no matter what!!
This is a day I truly never thought I would see.... but, here it is!
I even wore this TO two different stores with no baggy shirt to hide in.
One of my favorite new sayings from the trainer in my latest fitness program is "FINISH THE MOVE... don't let the move finish you." And I can't tell you how many times I've allowed that to help me do just that.
The program has a lot of drills that only last like 1 minute each, then 45 seconds, and then only 30 seconds each. But those drills can feel like forever if you allow them to!! 😂 So it's crazy, but when I tell myself not to let the move finish me, but for me to finish the move, it kinda works! I just remind myself in that moment, that I only have to do it for a minute or 30 seconds, and I do it!! More times than not, at least!! And I love that small feeling of accomplishment!! 👊
This picture is a still shot of me doing a move that I literally hate because I feel like such a klutz when I'm doing it... I think it's called fence jumps or something, but you basically move side to side and try to "jump over" a fence throughout the movement. It's hard 🙈. But I keep trying every time, and I will admit I'm getting better, especially for someone with "no hops" as my son likes to call me :).
Okay ladies.... How many of us get so wrapped up in bringing OTHERS joy that we forget to do it for ourselves too?
I know what you are saying... "But making others happy brings me happiness." I get that.
But when I feel a little off balance it usually stems from the fact I've forgotten to "put my mask on first". I needed reminding today about this so I am passing it on to you.
Everyday... Do something that brings yourself pure J.O.Y. 😘
