October marks the celebration of Women in Small Business Month. 👩🏻💻
I admire the ways female entrepreneurs specifically work smarter by supporting each other.💜 Because women entrepreneurs have such high expectations of themselves in terms of work ethic and proficiency, it causes them to appreciate that same drive in other women. Ultimately, this creates a mutual respect for each other. .
Unlike men, who often times see each other more as competition, even if they're not in the same industry, it's socially more acceptable for women to help each other.
The shift is very real!
Strong women entrepreneurs are no longer being labeled in the same manner that their corporate counterparts are. They're finding mutual respect and genuinely want to see each other succeed. It's a "pay-it-forward" mentality that women have figured out!

So over the years I’ve followed a lot of fitness IG pages for motivation and “body goals”. The intent being that these pages would encourage and motivate me. But yesterday I realized that many of the pages I was following didn’t build me up, but made me feel less than, lacking, hopeless. And this was through no fault of those pages. It was me. My issue was that I was following pages of women who were super glam, make up, (usually) implants (which is totally get if I could afford them 😂), in their 20’s... a whole bunch of things that are not me. So I was literally wavin this image continually in front of me of something I wasn’t even going to achieve because that’s just not my style. I consider having to wear something other than sweats all day a major inconvenience and make up? Pretty sure all my stuff is years old 🤣
So to save my sanity I’ve unfollowed the pages that make me feel like less than. But now I’m struggling to find the pages of women who are like me. A different race other than white, Mom status, non glam. I still follow some of those pages, but I continually check how they’re making me feel. The minute I feel myself using their image to beat myself up [unfollow]

When I gave birth to my son, I saw him + my first thought was "Of course. There you are."⠀
Like I had been waiting for him— not just a baby, but him— and like I knew he would be a boy even though we had chosen not to find out his gender.⠀
With both kids, I knew. I felt no overwhelming sense of knowing, just a peaceful one.⠀
It wasn’t until I became a mom that I understood what it was like to have a “knowing”, the knowing you have without really knowing at all, in the traditional sense. The knowing that’s more adjective than verb. The knowing that is gut and belief, that doesn’t stand up to “reason”...but with a real knowing like that it doesn’t matter because it’s all far beyond reason, anyway. ⠀
I knew it would be him. I couldn’t explain that then, and I can’t explain it now, and that doesn’t make it any less real. I knew.⠀
And that is what I think of now, when there are things I know that I try to hold up to reason, that I try to “make sense” of, that I try to apply my logical brain to. All those attempts to make my knowing more real actually only amp up the stress/anxiety/tension/worry/doubt/fear.⠀
So: I know. And I know that knowing isn’t just good enough. It is the only thing that counts.
It wasn't the perfect workout. Somehow I was super tired this morning 😫.
Woke up to sweaty pictures on my whatsapp support group 😫I couldn't play any games. Had to push my workout in. We truly have an awesome team. Support goes a long way.

BUT I also take the risk that he will nap in the car and NOT at home and mama NEEDS her work time. Let’s pray my plan goes accordingly!🙏🏻

Who knew there are so many things "celebrated" this month...Cookie Month. Eat Country Ham Month. Pizza Month. Vegetarian Month. Don't stress over it all! Make a list of things you want to do, and work on them through time! Nothing happens overnight.

Never stop working on yourself but please remember to be confident with who you are NOW. Love yourself your whole life through, every step of your journey on earth. Giving yourself a hard time will not make change come easier, living yourself and motivating yourself will.

Transformations happen in different ways.... physical, mental, emotional. Last week I felt strong. This week I'm not feeling myself. But I will get back.

I truly have found a passion for fitness and in helping others feel better physically, emotionally, and mentally. I believe my soul was put on this earth to help others. I've always helped out where and when I could in any situation. But THIS.... .
Coaching gives me an outlet to help empower women (and men too, but I work mostly with women). To give them the tools and resources they need to feel stronger, to believe in themselves, to feel good inside and out, to build confidence, to find Self Love, and to find life within themselves again. I am blessed.

Let's talk about the mind for a bit... the mind is such a powerful tool that can either make you or break you. We have 50,000 to 70,000 thoughts per day which comes out to 35 to 48 thoughts per minute. How in the heck do we survive and keep our sanity???! Well for one thing, our brain makes patterns and sometimes goes on autopilot like when we automatically react a way so the brain doesn't need to think. For some instances this is good but other times, we do things by habit and that can affect our decisions as well. When things get tough, our normal inclination is to retreat and find a comfortable spot instead of challenging our brain and rising to the occasion. This is why I think we self sabotage our goals. Ever catch yourself doing that? Ever catch yourself just being content and following the norm just so it's easy for you? This message is for all my challengers who are struggling and battling themselves with their minds. It's okay to feel struggle. It's okay that it feels difficult. That is where growth begins. Start training your mind by thinking positive. You can do this. This is temporary and those results you want, they are on the other side of your comfort zone. Be patient. Be focused. Believe. I know you can do this and just take one step at a time. We will get there.
You cannot get results without taking action 👌🏻.

Today's #DailyAbBurn is Plank Jacks, Power Knee, Plank In & Out, and Reverse Lunge Twist. You will do both sides for the Power Knee and Reverse Lunge Twists.
For these daily sets, you will do the reps according to below:

🌟Kind of want more: 30 reps/30seconds Each
🌟Feel the burn: 50 reps/50seconds Each

Daily asanas I've been working on...still hurt with my strained hammies and glutes but I have to do something. I seriously cannot sit on my ass all day whining when there's so much other things my body CAN do. So right now listening to my body and doing what I can at the moment.
When you're young you have recess, PE class, gymnastics, dance, after school sports... you run on the playground with friends, ride bikes, play jump rope, shoot hoops... so much of your social life revolves around physical activities. Then we get old. And getting sweaty and hot and disheveled in front of our friends is no longer appropriate. Maybe we have one or two friends we feel comfortable working out with. But man, we are MISSING out! Kids know that a great way to create lasting bonds with people is to connect through physical activity!
A goal for me since I started a new leg of my health and fitness journey last year was to create a fitness community. I wanted to gather amazing, encouraging people to walk alongside each other. The most gratifying part of my coaching journey has been seeing this community form!
Last month my team got an assignment to share a photo with one word about how they felt after their workout. All of their photos brought such JOY to my heart. Here are 5 of their responses 👆🏻.
