Today's lesson: handling disappointment.
Him: "When is the eclipse coming? When is the eclipse coming? When is the eclipse coming? How many minutes until the eclipse is here? I don't see anything! When can we see it? I don't want to look for it anymore."
Me: "Ok, what's Plan B?"
Him: (curled lip, real tears, full-on crying) "Solar E-cliiiiiiiiiiiiipse... I wanna see the solar ecliiiiiiiiipse..." We turned the day around with visiting friends. But man that was a lot of hype and anticipation. I'm pretty sure he enjoyed playing trains with his buddy more than he would have enjoyed actually seeing the eclipse.
Ever since I had my second son....I've had to juggle my time and having a newborn has taken a toll at times on my oldest because for almost 2 1/2 years it was just him and I 5 days a week ....so it's been an adjustment and we rarely get just mommy and Peyton time anymore. I'm trying to really be intentional with spending that alone time with him and giving him that time and attention he needs. So today we spent his brothers nap time playing blocks and he was having so much fun and it was just what both of us needed. 😘💙 I love these times with him and doing the simplest of things. "Momma, build a HUGE WATER TOWER and I'll knock it down!" Love him to pieces!
I'm in love with these matching brother shirts❤️ Know someone that has boys? These are a great gift idea send them over to my Etsy site 😉 & get a thank you coupon from me when they order.
OMG!!! This tastes exactly like a peppercorn crusted filet mignon with a garlic butter sauce, fries with truffle oil drizzled on top and a side of garlic aioli. Yea, tastes just like that. #lies#3dayrefresh#starving

And another year has begun! These two are getting so big I can hardly stand it!!
Smooth day as we embark on 2nd & 4th Grade! They are no longer in the same school; bittersweet from this Mama! They were excited and "almost" ready! (We were all yearning for another few weeks if summer, but we've accepted it is time to begin a new year!)
Father God, please watch over these boys as they open their minds to new things, enjoy time with old friends and making new ones and embrace all this new school year has to offer. May they always feel your light shining around them Leading their way!🙏🏻
Here's to an awesome school year, sweet boys!!! 💙💙😘
I live my life in a constant state of tired! + I consistently have 100000000004 things on my mind at a time. I use peppermint through out my day on the daily!
AM: 1-2 drops in my shower to energize the start of my day!
Mid-Day: Blend/layer with a citrus oil to help me focus on the tasks at hand while I work and also helps with the noon pick me up!
PM: As soon as I get home from work I take a big whiff out of the bottle to help me with a quick burst of energy to help keep up with my potty training toddler!
When you need it: heat up a little FCO and add a couple drops of peppermint to it, rub in to sore muscles to increase blood flow and aid in relief.
This oil is a must have!!
The first time I saw Zach use his imagination was with these two wooden cylinders. He put the small cylinder inside the bigger one, twirled it around a bit, put it up to his mouth and blew the biggest bubble he'd ever seen. Then he looked up in the air and said WOAH! It's still his favorite bubble machine we have ✨
