Kids got their snow day! ☃️❄️ I did a workout called AAA and wowee my 🍑 arms and core are burning 🔥!! Can you guess what the letters mean?! 😳 Slept a little later this morning and wanted Paityn to stay asleep after she hopped in bed with me. Ugh hate when they don't feel good. 😢 Won't be able to do that next week. I want to stick to the same workout schedule except for maybe Saturday will be a little later start. Love feeling that burn!! Aside from e-learning& delays, this morning might be the most #stayathomemom day I've had in a long while.. I woke up incredibly nauseous 😷.. so of COURSE Meylah opens her eyes saying her belly hurts (did we eat something?). --a few other REALLY annoying things happen-- I call her out of school.
She is INSTANTLY up bouncing around, in an awesome mood 😑 "it hurt when I woke up but, it's feeling better now" (less than 15 min.) UH s'cuse me!?
Idc if I AM sick af and the roads ARE crap.. we aren't doin' that sht.
We got brother on the bus, came home for a bath, and I drove that little punk the 17 minutes (on a good day) to school 😒.. I don't even know wth went wrong this morning but, it was a complete disaster. So, I'm going to snuggle into this cute little ball of warm, take a nap, and try Wednesday again in a little bit ✌
I got an encouraging surprise in the mail yesterday! I haven't had a dream to work toward like this since veterinary technician school in 2009 and it feels amazing. I'm so looking forward to seeing where this road leads. 💜

My at home workouts are kicking ass! 💪🏼
I wake up at 5:20am (by choice lol), eat my pre workout meal (small bc I hate eating prior to working out), drink my natural energy drink (delicous AF yo), and then hop on my live workouts by 6am to work out with my lady @the.dorky.yogi! .
We keep each other accountable, if it wasn't for having someone waiting on me to hop on- I'd sleep in (which now makes me feel awful and sick all day #whoami )
Living in Northern Michigan, I'm SO beyond glad I don't have to leave my house to workout #coldaf . Plus I don't have to find/pay a babysitter to watch my kid. WINNING. .

On what seems to be our four-millionth day of frigid cold weather, snow, and ice, I'm daydreaming of getting away! And I want to know where you would go today if you could go anywhere in the world!
My happy place is out west! Alex and I love Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and we have several more states we need to explore! We love the hot, dry air, the beautiful rock formations, the incredible hikes. This summer we're going to Utah for Alex's 40th birthday, and it just can't get here soon enough!
I can’t exactly blame my little guy for having inconsistent feelings about veggies and proteins at (almost 😩) 5. I’m pretty sure I lived off carbs until I was at least 24. Textures, colors, assumptions, tastes all play a role in his varying degrees of affection towards anything other than baked goods. Everytime I think I’ve got his menu down - he insists he’s never liked that food before in his life. 🤷🏻♀️ It can discourage me at times. However, I keep modeling healthy eating by making our kitchen a place where he learns about how foods benefit our bodies.
So, if I find something healthy that works (even if it’s just the moment) I share it with other moms that may be having the same struggle. There’s a ton of smoothies & “health snacks” out there for kids, but so many are full of added sugars that it becomes counterproductive - especially if it doesn’t fill him. I try to lean towards fruits, popcorn, hummus, hard boiled eggs, etc. when he is looking for a snack. He was always grabbing at MY shakes - but those are really made for mamas. We keep trucking and making our list of things that work (this smoothie being his fave right now - GF, DF, 🚫nuts, 🚫soy, ✅🥗 - 🍫 here, but also 🍓🍌). I will keep leading by example and showing him how and why we keep our bodies healthy. They watch us more than we realize. Contrary to what he may believe at times - I don’t teach him about how to take care of a healthy body because Mommy wants to be annoying!! 😂

2018 is off to an *actual* bang for us.
I was feeling off and did a bioimpedence scan last night and these two popped up first as emotionally supportive oils.
Lime is to deal with feelings of being unmotivated or stuck. Black Pepper is to address feelings of being in a "Black Hole". The Lime message made me laugh out loud. The Black Pepper recommendation and its corresponding affirmations helped me to recognize how dealing with current challenges was stifling me, and find a way to move on.
I applied these this morning and I have them with me to use throughout the day. Additionally, I can't stop thinking of @mininatortilla!

A terrible night of sleep for Bea (& me🤦🏻♀️) had me wanting to hit the snooze and workout later.

Those crazy busy days that things just need to fall into place?!? Yep. .
So snooze was NOT an option because I needed this sweat sesh more than usual. .
Now, day 3 is done, I’m energized, ready to hit the ground running. And just possibly wash my hair today🙌💜😉

This bottle of the stinkiest oil on this planet helps me get the most restful sleep ever! A swipe on the bottom of my feet and I shove them directly under the covers and I'm in dreamland before I even know it! The cool and sad thing is it was out of stock for a really long time (because of harvest issues for the stinky Valerian.) But was just made available for a super short time ... I snagged a few! (Thats the cool part) The sad part is once midnight hits tonight it won't be back til October! 😣

This book is a parenting game changer friends! So many nuggets of wisdom and practical ideas. I read through it last year but it’s one of those books you get something new out of every time you read it. It’s broken into 12 chapter that focus on a different value//character building traits. It’s written so that you can read and implement these ideas month to month . It’s super practice and filled with ideas, games and family activities. I highly recommend picking up a copy 👩🏼🏫 (it is not religious based)

✨TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY ✨It's been such an overwhelmingly mind opening journey since becoming pregnant. I used to have such warped perceptions of my body - never fully accepting of it and always found room for critiques. I strived to be a "perfect size" for so long and blindly saw health in such arbitrary terms like numbers. I never focused on how I felt, just how I looked. But the thing is, despite being my ideal size for so long, I was SO FREAKING OUT OF SHAPE. Being *skinny* doesn't mean strong nor healthy (*this is not a skinny body bash post). My body was weak and even weaker was my mind. I had no self love, no confidence and I constantly doubted my capabilities. Fast forward to my pregnancy and then postpartum recovery and my perceptions of myself did a complete 180. I saw myself in a new light physically. My body had done this incredible thing by sustaining life and then my body recovered from a brutal and painfully long labor. And it then recovered from straight on stomach sliced open and closed, organs removed and shoved back in, baby yanked out surgery (I'm referring to my c-section in case anyone missed the point 🙈). All this had given me this newfound confidence in my body's awesome capabilities. I wanted to be a strong role model for my son - physically, mentality and emotionally. I wanted to get into the best shape I now knew I could because I want to spend as many years as I can with my kid exerting the same level of energy he does. I want to be able to encourage him through life and realize the power of our mind can overcome anything. If we don't have strong minds then that is reflective of our bodies as well. I had never really pictured myself being a mom. I had accepted my life the way it was. Then a year ago, I found myself expecting my first child. 🤰🏽
I always was a very shy, quiet person who feared the judgement of others. But after lots of self exploration and personal development, I found myself sharing my life and my journey very openly in social media.
I thought I was going to teach kindergarten until I retired. Although I had thought of other career paths, I felt as thought teaching was perfect for me. Then 10 months ago, I found myself starting a business which led to me leaving my teaching career to work from home.
I thought all of these things were separate journeys, until I realized the destination ended up being the same.
I thought that if I ever had a child, I would have to work and spend my time split between teacher life and mom life.
But by being open minded and willing to learn, I’ve managed to mesh everything together. •
I’m a stay-at-home mompreneur. I get to be home with my baby while growing a business using social media and teaching other women to do the same. •
Sometimes life will show you different pieces of yourself and it’s up to you to put the puzzle together. •
Life may not look the way you had planned, but sometimes something much grander is waiting for you.
It may take a leap, a jump, or a step outside of your comfort zone, but when you find it, you will wonder why you didn’t do it sooner.
