I’ve struggled with meditation. As soon as my eyes close my mind races.  I’ve taken workshops, participated in guided online sessions, I bought a chair (yes, a meditation chair...that is more often used for watching TV than quiet reflection) all in an effort to hone my ability to meditate “properly”. To be honest, where I find my most peace, my quietest time for reflection, the best mental cleanse, is when I’m running.  The repetition of my feet hitting the pavement, the calmness of my steady breathing, the solitude of being at peace by myself and being outside is what provides clarity, rejuvenation relaxation. Being present is the best present you can give anyone, including yourself .Great things happen when you show up, listen and our present for yourself and others. Everyone needs validation. Everyone wants and desires approval and the feeling of belonging. When you listen, truly listen, it shows others they’ve been seen and heard. True power of staying in the now is to release anticipation of the future or regretting the past, but knowing and trusting the the only time true happiness and life happens, is in the now. 
Little things can throw us off in our day; waiting in line too long, getting off track from our perfectly planned day, arguing with someone. How often do you feel like your whole day has been ruined because you have an encounter with someone that was grouchy and you picked up their energy? Energy is contagious. It transfers. It’s not created. It’s not destroyed but it flows from one person to the next and one moment to the next: it’s important to not pick up others’ energy. Practicing shielding yourself from negativity, especially if you are in a line of work that’s constantly dealing with trials and tribulations; it’s important to not pick that up. It’s important to replenish your energy and find things that reset you. Meditation is a great tool for that, but so are many other things. Walking in nature, walking the beach, playing with children, reading a book, walking... anything that you enjoy doing that slows the pace of life down. The allows you space to stop and just be. Today, do something that makes you smile from the inside out. Be present and show up for those in your life. Listen while not doing anything else, listen with your heart versus your mind. Listen objectively with no judgment. You don’t always have to speak. To listen is to learn.

So many people wake up on the wrong side if the bed in the mornings and carry that negative #Energy all day or until they pass it off to the next person. Sometimes we just need take a moment to #reset ourselves. .
.

I personally innerstand when we don't notice our energy exchange. Sometimes i have to remind myself to start my morning on a good note as best i can because i have all day to get upset lbvs. Other times throughout the day i just have to take a moment to do 5 mins of #bellybreathing to just reset! So ending my day on #peace and #balance has becone just as vital. The holidays doesn't have to be a stressful experience if we use tools that work.

Our December mantra is “I am the standard for me.” As we reflect over the peaks, valleys, and seasons that have passed throughout 2017, it is so easy to notice the things we have yet to accomplish. The habits we have yet to develop—or worse—tried to develop and failed miserably at in order to become the person we “want to” or “should” be. There always seems to be some new measure of completeness, womanhood, femininity, or wholeness that is meant to empower, but more often reminds us we’re not up to standard. So throw those standards out this month. Spend time taking in the view from YOUR peaks you experienced in 2017 and let that be what sets the standard for you as you ring in the new year.

We live in a world of duality: light/dark, good/bad, up/down, right/wrong.  So it makes sense that negative thoughts work against a positive goal or destination.

We are all human – it is normal for a negative thought to creep into our brains from time to time. (I’m the queen of climbing on that hamster wheel!) Don’t sweat it!  When you catch yourself thinking that the world is against you, or things don’t ever work out for you, (etc., etc.) immediately think of the opposite outcome of that thought.  Then repeat that to yourself 3 times (or as many as you need) until you feel a shift in your mood.  When that shift occurs, take a couple minutes to acknowledge 2-3 things you are grateful for, then move on with your day.  Repeat this process as often as those niggling negative nuisances come up. I started manifesting in my early 20’s after I read the book “Ask and it is Given.” Start small with things that you think are pretty easy to attain and watch the magic happen.  They key is to write down want you want and then forget about “it” as much as you can so you are not thinking about “it” not being there.  Then when you least expect it, it will appear.
