Here's another part to the puzzle for all that have asked me about this E body factory A/c to classic air NON A/C conversion you will need this defroster vent easily identified with the rectangle lower duct hole part number is shown in pic 2 , sure I coulda made this but for 40 bucks on eBay why waste the time . This is a must have before the dash goes in... #Mopar#classicautoair#gothamcitymusclecars#builtinnyc#challenger#restoration
Well here she is😍 wheels are all back to black and all done by my man @kingcat400 👍🏻 I decided to have them painted instead of powder for a few reasons both have their pros and cons but I am definitely happy with my choice, I feel like they look a hundred times better than when they were new, my man did an amazing job as always💯💯
Swipe➡️ Quick mock up !
Here's the solution for the 2 gaping line holes on a E body Mopar with factory A/C make the plate to support and seal the holes and I have opted to weld all the 5/16 and 1/4 studs from the rear so it's a simple install for future repairs, the main plate has studs welded on its own and will remained sealed I welded the ignition component studs also , I did this with the idea of ease of a swapping a part and not stripping holes or having loose ignition parts Ect . Though the nuts are not correct it's clean and has simple function , I believe it's better than whacking screws through a new firewall , also I have opted to use the heater line holes as the mounting points instead of the upper cowl as the factory did , this simply covers the holes and allowed for the welded brackets to pass through the factory ac holes with a 1/4 air gap behind it all ... The ballast resistor used the factory hole punched already ! Small hurdles to leap rather than drilling any un needed holes . All the foam is closed cell marine grade , for a long lasting resilient seal . #mopar#gothamcitymusclecars#challenger#classicautoair#builtinnyc#drilllessmeasuremore
