Happy Friday! I just wanted to introduce myself for all of you that have recently started following me! 👋🏻 I haven't done this in a while, so you might find out something new about me:
▪️I love summer. ☀️ It's my favorite month, and I'm usually in denial when it ends.
▪️I ran cross country in high school because I didn't make the soccer team. 😂 I decided to run because it was social, but ended up really liking it.
▪️I am currently watching Gilmore Girls for the first time. Kirk has to be my favorite character in the whole show. NO SPOILERS!
▪️I am born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. I absolutely love it here. There is no place I'd rather be, except for Italy.
▪️I studied Finance in college, and somehow ended up in Human Resources.
▪️I like to be alone. I am an introvert, so being alone is really soothing for me.
▪️I love to travel. London, Greece, Australia, and Croatia are all on my bucket list.
▪️I was a football trainer in high school I will never forget the time one of the other trainers and I dressed up in pads and uniform and went to practice and got tackled 🏈

* 1 1/2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
* 2 cups (280 g) diced sweet onion (about 1 medium/large)
* 2 tablespoons minced garlic (about 4 large cloves)
* 2 medium jalapeños (80 g), seeded (if desired) and finely chopped
* 1 cup (115 g) finely chopped celery (about 2 large stalks)*
* 1 large red bell pepper, seeded and diced**
* 1 (28-oz/796 mL) can diced tomatoes, with juices
* 1 cup (250 mL) low-sodium vegetable broth
* 6 tablespoons (90 mL) tomato paste
* 1 (15-oz/398 mL) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
* 1 (15-oz/398 mL) can pinto or navy beans, drained and rinsed
* 2 tablespoons chili powder
* 2 teaspoons ground cumin
* 1 teaspoon dried oregano
* 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon fine grain sea salt, to taste
* 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper (optional)
* 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
I am not personally vegan, but I have tried so many of her delicious recipes and they are SO freaking good! .

If you want to add meat, just add some meat! Lol 😂 I’m a fan of ground turkey, and it would be really easy to just some up and add it to the mix! .

Happy Friday friends!

I was back on that 5 am gym grind today because I had an appointment after school and some errands to run, which means I wouldn't have been able to work out until later than normal (and let's be honest, the later I hit the gym, the less energy I have, the more distracted I get, and the worse my lifts are).
Honestly, as much as I've enjoyed sleeping in lately, I actually prefer to be up before the sun & starting my day doing what I love most. 🏋🏽♀️
Plus, if I wait until the afternoon to go to the gym, by the time I get home, cook & eat dinner, walk the dogs, shower, etc.... I get lazy & unmotivated & all my plans to be productive go right out the window.
I'm a total morning person so hitting the gym first thing just sets the tone for me to have an awesome day. ☀️
I'm planning to go back to my normal routine next week because it's what works best for ME.
Anywhooo, I'm about to work on some client plans & another project for my business *stay tuned!* before I go get a MASSAGE tonight. 💆🏽

Today is a Pro D day for my kids, so no school. We had nowhere to rush off to this morning so we all slept in. It was fabulous 🙌

More often than not people mistake feelings of thirst for feelings of hunger. You eat. You’re not satisfied. You eat more. You feel like garbage for a bunch of reasons. 🙅🏼 Not good. So let me you out. Happy Friday!!!!! Excited because I actually got dressed today and did my hair and makeup 😝🙈 I went to my nephews award show!! (1st graders are so cute) It really means the world to me to be able to have the time and flexibility during the week to go see little things like this at his school. 🙏🏻 It’s also the main reason I decided to start coaching in the first place. I want to have the freedom to be a part of every moment in our future kids life and not have to worry about asking off from work, not having enough PTO, or feeling guilty. Lately I’ve kinda sucked at the #honesty game. I’ll say one thing, do another. “Yeah I’ll do the laundry today...” or “Yeah, I’ll manage my business today...” LIES 😐 And then you know what happens? I get caught up in this vicious cycle... seeing something that needs to be done, saying I’m going to do it, NOT doing it, feel terrible about it, aaaannd repeat!
My friends, we call this PROCRASTINATION 🤢 #throwback to high school + homework lol!! 😫 I’m a hard core procrastinator, always have been. But when I heard this last night.... “DO YOUR ACTIONS MATCH YOUR MOUTH?” Mic. Drop. 🎤🤛🏼🤚🏼
My answer of course was NO. And it hurt. Because it was the TRUTH. And honey 🍯 when the truth hurts, that’s when it’s time to change. You feel? So that’s what I’m doing today. (UM HELLO watch my #story , I woke up at freaKING 5 AM and worked out at 6, like I always say I “will” do, but never did until today!!!!) So... do your actions match your words? What’s something you can do today to make it happen? It’s👌🏼 okay 👌🏼to tell yourself the truth, because the TRUTH brings dark things into the light, and once you can see it clearly, you can fight it all that much better. 🌟✨
☀️ MINDFULLY + GENTLY LOVE YOUR MORNINGS ☀️ You might dislike me for saying this ⚡️, but I love mornings, no actually I adore them. I know, AM's aren't for every one, but only 15% of the population are night 🦉 owls, so most of us biologically should be ready to go in the Morning. It's our lifestyle + habits that get us cursing the early hours. The AM is honestly a big part of my lifestyle, routine and self, and thrive before the sun comes up. It's my favourite time of day, and most often than not I'm up before 5:30am with energy, vigour and a zest for life. They are a creative haven for me, and I love getting up with Mr. Sun and breathing in a state of gratitude for every single thing in my life.
The thing is I wasn't always like this, and when I was my sickest with Lyme Disease, I literally could not go to bed until 4am, so you best believe I wasn't getting up at five. Please know this transition took time, patience, mindful attention and checking in with what my body truly wanted, not just at bed time or in the morning, but actions and thoughts that took place during my waking hours. Just like healing takes time, sometimes, and most often than not months, and years, so does creating new habits and rituals. You can create new neural pathways and habits, but that's only if you want to change current behaviours and actions... I know there's work to be done, but on a day this gorgeous, it just seems wrong not to take a quick break to enjoy the perfect weather right here at home. All I need is coffee and my Abbi girl 🐶 and I'm in the middle of my own mini vacay! What do you need to turn a day like this into your personal paradise?
I never in a million years would have through that id find joy in working out.. let alone morning workouts. ✨
I've been thinking a lot about how on earth I've kept these morning workouts up and how what was once a dreaded task for me, has now turned into one of the greatest joys in my day!
And then it hit me.. this is my FREEDOM! So often in life we do so much for others, we wake up late to rush and get ready to go and work to help build someone else's dream and by the time we get home, we are EXHAUSTED.
We make up every excuse as to why we can't spent 30 minutes on making ourselves feel great, and before we know it, things have spiralled out of control and we are trapped.
Trapped in a body we hate, a mind that is full of resentment and negative thoughts and working somewhere we do not love. 🤔
Making time for yourself BEFORE you start giving to ANYONE else is your ultimate key to love, happiness and eternal FREEDOM! ✨
