Today's morning run. . .ran the best 5k so far. . .at first i was aiming for 10k with a relax pace. . .but then i saw that the time for the first 3km was consistent at 6.28min/km. . .then i decided to go for 5k with the same pace. . .never done this before and never able to sustain pace 6 for at least 5k. . .all in all, its my PR for 5k with the pace of 6.24. . .i know for sure, a lot more people run much much faster than me, but for me. . .thats my best. . .😁😁😁 And aiming for better. . .woot woot. .later rewarded myself with thosai telur bawang aka thosai with egg and onions 🤣
Another solid @parkrunau slogging away at it, while just dogging the torrential rain. As every stride you take, makes you that much stronger. So keep pushing and fighting towards your goals.

The @runrevel Mt Lemmon Marathon didn't go as planned. I was gunning for a BQ, but never got into a rhythm. I finally just decided to enjoy the beautiful course and not stress about the time. Why do I run? Why does my bib say Paul? My dad was diagnosed with ALS in the summer of 2008. A year later he was gone. He spent most of that year confined to a wheelchair or his bed. I didn't even realize that the race was Veterans Day Weekend when I decided to put his name on my bib. Swipe right to see Sergeant First Class Paul Votruba and family. Circa 1984? Sorry I didn't get the BQ, Dad. Then again, I'm not sure you ever ran further than what it took to pass your PT test 😂 #irunbecauseican#veteransday#theresalwaysanotherrace
