Sadhana means daily spiritual practice. It is the foundation of all spiritual endeavor. Sadhana is your personal, individual spiritual effort. It is the main tool you use to work on yourself to achieve the purpose of life. It can be done alone or in a group. Sadhana is whatever you do consistently to clear your own consciousness so you can relate to the infinity within you. Before you face the world each day, do yourself a favor and tune up your nervous system and attune yourself to your highest inner self. To cover all your bases, it will include exercise, meditation, and prayer. .
During what are called the “ambrosial hours” (the two and a half hours just before sunrise), 🌞🙏🏻when the sun is at a sixty-degree angle to the Earth 🌏 the energy you put into your #sadhana gets maximum results. Your world is quieter. It’s easier to meditate and concentrate before the hustle and bustle of the day begins. If you absolutely cannot get up early in the morning to do sadhana, then do it some other time! Doing sadhana at any time of the day or night will benefit you. .
Develop a regular sadhana and you take control of your life. Develop a deep sadhana and you open the doors of experience. Commit to meet your higher Self each morning and your decisions and your life become original; your life will bear the signature of your soul 😇 your radiance will express the meaningful intimacy of the Infinite in each moment. Immerse yourself in the joy of victory that comes from starting each day with a powerful sadhana and every challenge becomes opportunity.
Tea spoon - my cleansing power tool 😀No, I am not using a tea spoon to cleanse my face but I do scrape my tongue with it every morning.
If you already are into tongue scraping read no more, but if you have never indulged in this peculiar practice stay with me and I will show you that your tea spoon has a higher purpose then stirring sugar in your coffee. According to Ayurveda our tongue is quite a story teller in regards to the internal state of our well-being. The science of tongue analysis is complex and it is a part of an Ayurvedic health assessment which I’m learning with my Ayurveda studies😀What Ayurveda suggests is that while we sleep we release toxins from the digestive tract. Over night these toxins accumulate on the surface of our tongues. If we do not remove the toxic coating from our tongues first thing in the morning, we end up ingesting it with our first drink or meal. Hence the tea spoon. You can purchase a fancy tongue scraper at your health food store but I find that a tea spoon does the trick for me. I have been scraping my tongue for many years now and I strongly recommend you add this simple practice to your morning routine. Your mouth will feel way better. Practice good hygiene, keep you body cleaner and your mouth healthier. Pick a teaspoon from your kitchen and make a home for it in the bathroom, next to your tooth brush. Every morning upon rising clean your tongue. Start scraping from the back and be gentle. Repeat few times. When you see no more yuk accumulating on your tea spoon you are ready to brush your teeth.
Follow with a glass of warm purified water with a splash of fresh lemon.

Started 2018 with Kundalini Yoga sadhana as I do every year. But something's been on my mind all day, and I gotta get it off my chest. Most of you noticed that the sun was shining today. Few of you, however, know the backstory: that the sun was shining specifically for ME.
Now, one of my New Year's resolutions is to learn how to ACCEPT and RECEIVE blessings of all kinds. But I also want to practice HUMILITY. While I'm flattered that the sun has chosen to honor me in this way, I also want to tell the sun, and everyone watching, that the honor goes both ways. After all, if you reeeeeeally think about it, the sun is just as radiant as I am. Sometimes even more so, if it's not cloudy.
I don't get in people's face about it, but I AM mortal...and human...and flawed...just like all of you flawed people reading this right now, in a flawful fashion. So please, don't think of 2018 as the year of ME. Think of it as the year of WE. We can ALL enjoy 2018 TOGETHER. We can ALL enjoy the sun as EQUALS (except Nazis, they get kneecapped). I mean, there's an entire COUNTRY out there called Australia and it even has people in it and everything. I'm sure they like their sunshine too!
So next time you see the sun rise, and the world turn, and the date go up a year, exclusively for ME in appreciation of how lovely I am...just pretend that all these things are also happening for YOU...because you earned it! Happy 2018, and happy self-esteem!
Kundalini yoga with the kids! My sister says they have no interest in doing yoga except when I’m here 🤷🏼♀️ I guess I make yoga fun 🌟🧘🏼♀️💫 The best (funniest part) was teaching them breath of fire 🔥 If nothing else, perhaps I'm planting a seed that they will remember later in life and it won't feel so foreign when they really need it 💕
Teaching kids how to take a deep breath is really effective. When they're upset and you remind them to take a deep breath, it immediately calms them. But you have the teach them the breath before they get upset! 😇 I just tried it with Ty yesterday and it seemed to bring him down a couple of notches 😉

Although, my feelings and emotions about Winter Solstice Day from 3am to midnight are pretty incredible! Started with a beautiful group during the Amrit vela for Aquarian Sadhana, then traveled with the gong to @highlandyoga and @exhalespa for a special Shavasana and ended with a fire ceremony and a beautiful gathering of like minded powerful women! My intuition tells me that surrounding yourself with positive people that support one another is going to lead to a wonderful 2018! Let’s all help to raise the consciousness of those in our lives! MORNING JUNGLE SADHANA | This was part of our last morning sadhana in Bali today. Looking a little more lush than the ones at home and there’s not much that beats waking up in the jungle and doing the Subagh Kriya for prosperity, the one we are doing with our Mastermind members. 🐒🌱🌟We’re heading back to LA feeling very much refreshed but also so much different than when we first got here 3 weeks ago. So much has changed within us both during this trip and thank goodness for our morning routines to help keep us connected and grounded through these internal shifts. It's been challenging to maintain my spiritual practice with any regularity as my babies' routines shift and change. So I set my alarm for 5am every day so I can drink my coffee, write, pray, sit, and breathe as the sun rises. Most of the time, one of the kids wakes up during this time, but sometimes, I get a whole hour to myself before I hear tiny voices call my name. And because it's rare, I appreciate it very deeply when it happens. And I also appreciate when they interrupt me. What an fun and amazing group of #urbanyogis from our recent Immersion! On the surface is may look like a bunch of play (which at times it was!) but underneath this group of committed students took on a 30-day personal commitment to look within, and address every aspect of the personal self to find peace and understanding which brings alignment in our actions. The goal of yoga is Self-Realization, because it leads to “Self-Actualization” where each action is an expression of our own choosing. Every being true choice of expression is LOVE. Why would it be anything else? Everyone here was brave enough to face their habits/tendencies/addictions so that the True Self can shine through.
We had some amazing breakthroughs and the transformation were inspiring. By the last day, everyone of these beings stood in their own authenticity as a teacher and reminded me how important that we have everyone living and acting in this way. The experience is an affirmation of where my work lies in the future and some big offerings coming in 2018. Om Namah Shivaya 🔱🙏🔱
