After being in Miami all weekend watching the #babesoftheburgh crush wods, I was extra motivated to get back to training. Had a great day in the gym with a 2 rep strict press PR, some cleans, a nice long 12 round wod, and 100 calorie ski. Finished the night off with some new handstand work that I learned from @powermonkeyfitness while at @thewodapalooza Excited to get back into the training routine.

Once it was all done i just portioned it out and put it in the fridge 😌

Why even go through the trouble of meal preping...well it helps me not eat random stuff in my fridge and stops me from overeating; I used to be the queen of overeating. .
I have to say that once I mixed all of this together it was extra YUM! .

Maybe you’ve heard it before - but protein is SUPER important when it comes to not only our health - but our body composition goals too!⠀

Protein is made up of compounds called amino acids which are literally the building blocks of our body. Amino acids & proteins are used to produce hormones, antibodies, neurotransmitters and enzymes - it’s safe to say that getting adequate protein is essential for optimal health!⠀
Also, refueling our bodies with protein after a workout helps muscles rebuild & repair.⠀

Depending on your goals/age/body etc - your protein needs will vary. I love this infographic by the folks at Precision Nutrition which shows an easy way to ensure you are getting adequate protein at your meals! As a rule of thumb - women should consume roughly a palm sized amount of protein at each meal.⠀

If you have more specific body composition goals - I recommend consuming 0.8-1g per lb of body weight.⠀
So if you weigh 160lb this can mean anywhere from 128g-160g per day.⠀

It’s important to note that your calorie needs will vary depending again - on your goals/body and bio-individuality! What I am trying to say is just because you are eating adequate protein doesn’t mean that you are set up for success with your goals - we have to consider other nutrition elements too (carbs/fats/micronutrients etc).⠀

Today was a rough one. I haven’t felt the greatest today, I’m more tired than usual, and I just wanted to lay my booty on the couch and not move once I got home.

But then I logged in and saw my Challengers. I saw them CRUSHING it today. And as much as I didn’t want to I got up and got it done. I may not have done as well today as usual but at least I pressed play.

Being in a group of motivated people keeps you accountable even on the days you don’t want to be. Do I fe l better? Yes(ish) I feel better knowing I did something good for me and baby Tucker.

Would I have regretted it if I hadn’t at least tried? Yuuuppp. My point is, not all days are unicorns 🦄 and rainbows 🌈 You just have to make the effort and show up. You’ll be glad you did. I know I was today. 👌🏼

Today was a rough one. I haven’t felt the greatest today, I’m more tired than usual, and I just wanted to lay my booty on the couch and not move once I got home. . But then I logged in and saw my Challengers. I saw them CRUSHING it today. And as much as I didn’t want to I got up and got it done. I may not have done as well today as usual but at least I pressed play. . Being in a group of motivated people keeps you accountable even on the days you don’t want to be. Do I fe l better? I am choosing discipline. Because that goody little dude is watching and so is his brother.
My purpose over everything is to raise my boys well and part of that is being a strong role model. They know mommy is working hard . I talk to them about my journey and why I'm on it and why I am so passionate about bringing others along with me. 
My hope for them is to always to choose discipline over regret.

I slept well for the first time in about two weeks and am so ready to hop in my office and start crushing this week! 
We had a lot of designs go out to couples in the past couple of weeks so this week we’ll be focusing on finding the perfect floral vendors to help bring our designs to life. 
Florals are one of my absolute favourite parts of the wedding to work on and we’ve got some super cool out-of-the-box designs that were working on. 
For this glam NYE wedding I wanted to create the illusion that gorgeous white stems were floating over the table. Working with @capitalfloristott we used water picks, spray painted dowels, and hidden floral foam to create our floating effect. So much fun!

Life has been busy!! Playing the role of full time student, stay at home mom, and temporary single mom (our sailor is out to sea) to two rambunctious boys is a struggle.

But that didn't stop me from preparing for the new program I start tomorrow. I got 3 days planned out before the tiny people needed me lol but best believe I will plan out the rest of my week tomorrow.

What happen s in the kitchen matters!! I made egg muffins, brussels sprouts, beets, brown rice, yogurt cups, precut my veggie snacks, baked chicken, boiled eggs, and even kept the kitchen clean 😜😎

Anyhow I  do have to say I'm nervous about this program, but nervous in a good way because I KNOW it will bring the result for my ladies and I 💪I am PUMPED! 80 days is a big commitment but I'm ready.
