It’s hard to describe how perfect this morning was on the lake. Incredible conditions shared with great friends, bucket list kind of day for sure! @travelalberta #explorealberta
Two minutes for diving...
In case you haven't heard, we are experiencing incredible, once-a-decade skating conditions here on the lakes in Banff National Park.
I shot this after a rather exhausting session of fast action hockey flash photography a couple of nights ago at Two Jack Lake. Hopefully one of the shots turned out and I'll have something to share soon. :-)
Thanks to @lifeofwinter and @KahliAprilPhoto for their help out there. Keep your heads up. -

I usually like my ice a little more vertical, but skating in the Rockies is KILLER right now! 🙌😍 Lace up the skates for a rip while you can still see the bottom of the lake. ⛸
Its the craziest experience! 👊😀 (video follows) 📸:@link_callo
Lake 2.0. Better get down here while you can; ice like this don't last for long! ⛸
Can you spot me? I asked my parents to and now they can't sleep 🙈 Moonlight WI4 was so fun! Thanks @doughollinger for leading up! What a great spot to see the sunrise 🌄🙌 December 9, 2017 📷@brandonmacmullin #outdoorwomen#kananaskis
Another one from this breathtaking sunrise 😍 @mihartphoto
If I could be anywhere right now. It would be in this cabin. Jammies on , hot chocolate in hand. Phone at home. My love sitting in a rocking chair reading some book she could not put down. Fireplace cracking. And stars out. That’s all....
After hearing about the skating conditions and perfect glass like Ice at Two Jack Lake I had to head down and see it for myself. I had planned to shoot some sunrise landscape shots and images of my friends skating however then I found a dog.
This little fella is Phineas and was enjoying the ice as much as everyone else!
Of all the places I visited while in Jasper, this one was probably the coolest! This is the Athabasca River about 30 minute drive from town and the river is so shallow all the way across! It was the perfect way to cool down after hiking all day!
Casually hanging out on a rock ledge a few hundred meters off the ground. Half vertical bush whack, half epic rock climb, Ravages of Time is a 9-pitch piece of classic reached by a 1 hour hike up the Dart River Valley from the end of a remote dirt road.
En lo alto de la Reserva Absoluta se puede ver Cabo Blanco, aunque el camino esta un poco escondido, el poder llegar y disfrutar de esta vista es realmente un premio. Una de las zonas protegidas mas bonitas del país.
Walking up to this place for the first time was like landing on another planet! The rock formations look so alien and almost constructed. Such an incredible place! It was a bummer that when we got there I got this insane headache and felt like I was going to be sick so I only took a couple of photos before I had to sit down. Can't wait to get back there!
