Life is pretty rough when you've gotta move the camping chairs to the lawn to catch some sunshine. ☀️ I suppose we can delay the naps for an hour when it's this nice outside. 😊🍂 Even better, we had leaf zalagna (lasagna) and peas (shrub berries.) Love these silly kiddos. 👦🏻👧🏼👶🏼😍
My heart is full!💗 I had a great morning with @katiedesbrow learning some pearls of wisdom. I am so thankful for this opportunity to be a coach to help people with their health and fitness goals. It has made me an all around more positive person and has changed my mindset for the better in so many ways! 💗 I love what this journey has done for me both physically and mentally. Such a shift in a happy, positive and mindful direction while helping others to achieve the same! #positivelifestyle#happypappy#mindsetmattersmost#momof2sons#pinksisters#cancersurvivors#wanderlove#mountainmama
Today's event is about community, team building, learning, and sweatin'! I'll be touching more on those experiences later #butfirst ... I MET Joel Freeman!!! 😄🙊😍 And yes, he smells as good as he looks 😉
But he whooped our asses in a full hour long workout! I can't WAIT to get certified in Core De Force LIVE! and bring this program to my local fitness class friends!
Just one last plum photo.... maybe. 😉
It's crisp outside today. I've got plums drying, and I'm refinishing old furniture for our upcoming vintage market sale. What are you up to this fine, Fall weekend?
At the doctors to see what’s going on with little man. He was up almost every other hour, congested to the maximum. I’m sure the neighbors were really curious why we were running the shower all night. The steam was just about the only thing that helped though, so we went and bought a new humidifier too. Hopefully that does the trick.
Parenting isn’t for the faint of heart though. I would rather have my toenails pulled out than have him be sick and snotted up like last night. He was so upset and frustrated, and John and I felt the same. Kids don’t follow the rules when it comes to health. It’s Murphy’s Law. #ParentingAintEasy

𑁍𑁍𑁍 Timing is everything
that much I know
Sometimes I'm faster
and sometimes I'm slow
Some days I'm patient
but sometimes I'm told
To go to the end of the line
But when I can't be
what's expected of me
I look at the clock
and say "this can't be"
Watching it pass
without reason or rhyme
I find myself drifting in time 𑁍𑁍𑁍
🍂 Now that Fall is officially here, I will embrace it with open arms! We've got the makings for a busy season over here, but I'm hoping to have lots of crisp-air walks, drink lots of tea with maybe a pumpkin treat or two, and finally get to reading through my stack of books that went ignored over the summer. What's on your Fall to-do list? 🍂

All set up at the Western Adventure Weekend ✨
So it's raining & chilly but that isn't a big deal. My pots won't melt!! I'm lucky to have a medium that is weather proof (minus wind). ✨
I grew up doing art shows with my parents pottery biz. I've definitely seen some weather events in my time. This ain't nothing and I'm wearing a shit ton of socks 😋
Come say HI if you're in the area 😎
Coffee, sleeping bag, crisp morning air, and a flannel.. alllllmost everything you need for a perfect weekend. 😉☕️⛺️🍂🌲

Meditation is Day 3 - post 2 of 2
(Same content as last post)
I find meditation easiest in nature. This is why I take day trips to Sedona, find sanctuary at Zion Nat’l Park, etc.
One of my favorite in-town retreats is the Tonto Nat’l Forest, which is home to hundreds of wild horses. It can be hard finding them, but my score is about 99%. I’ve a knack! I have a specific place to see them at a specific time of day, so I’m not sure if that’s a “knack” or just logic.😉
But today, they did something I’d not witnessed before – they all trotted past me in the Mesquite groves, down into the river to play at first, and then eat dinner. I sat down at the river's edge and watched – losing myself and time to their story.
It’s truly meditation, too, because my mind stays in-the-moment, focused solely on one thing. Every where else it’s different – in Zion this past July, my meditation was unique to my brother and I, as he was with me that trip.
But today...it was the horses. I’ve seen this family group so many times now, they feel like home to me. And so there you have it – meditation at home with loved ones, dragonflies abuzz around me, while listening to the river current sputter and flow against the river bank. What could be better on a Friday afternoon?
Day 3: #RescuedByYoga
"A child's world is fresh and new and beautiful, full of wonder and excitement. It is our misfortune that for most of us that clear-eyed vision, that true instinct for what is beautiful and awe-inspiring, is dimmed and even lost before we reach adulthood." -Rachel Carson, A Sense of Wonder .
One way to increase your sense of wonder is to follow the lead of a child. Let them show you around the trail. Pay attention to the things they notice. Try to picture the world on their level. Don't rush them. Just enjoy your surroundings and let your curiosity wander.
Can't wait for our weekend with @tennesseestateparks in December back at Pickett State Park! This was in the cave under a natural land bridge with tiny waterfalls all over. Looking forward to cooler weather now on this first day of Autumn! 🙌🏽🍂⛺️
