For anyone interested, Movember (the month otherwise known as November) focuses on men's health and wellness, and aims to ultimately put a stop to these problems before they start.
While it's fun to grow a moustache and laugh at the silly cookie-dusters on our faces, the real cause we're fighting for is no joking matter, and one which is very near and dear to many of us.
Even if you're fortunate enough to never be affected by one of these health issues in your lifetime, the odds of one (or more) of them affecting a friend or loved one is statistically significant.
The money raised by Movember is used to raise awareness of men's health issues and to fund research and increase support networks for those men who suffer from prostate cancer, testicular and depression. It doesn't take more than a couple of bucks to help make a difference.

I'm fighting to honour every man who died before they could teach their kids how to drive, how to shave, or put the fear of God into their daughter's first boyfriend. I'm fighting to honour my dad, who died of a heart attack before I was out of high school. I'm fighting to honour men's mental health and wellness.
I'm fighting for the day that we don't have to fight any more.
I love you, Dad.
I decided to have a go at playing right handed guitar last night and after properly warming up, this stretch was achievable. Here's something I wrote about the economy of motion and conservation of energy involved with playing guitar:
One thing I can say is that if you ever find yourself learning to play a stringed instrument, Do use all four of your fingers. Don't learn with only your index, middle and ring fingers, hoping that your pinky will catch up later. Do, stop now, and take the extra time, working on that pinky (or whatever troubled finger you may have), until you are comfortable using it in any situation you would use any other finger. You'll be thanking yourself later when you can bend a note, a whole octave, on a bass guitar with your pinky, or you can play anywhere between the 1st and 12th fret with only having to move your hand to three different positions. Trust me, economy of motion is one of your best friends when it comes to playing guitar, efficiently ; the less movements that you have to make, with your fretting hand and picking hand, equals less energy used and less muscle fatigue, as well. Now there are also other things, like breathing techniques that are as important to the conservation and maintaining of energy while playing guitar, but economy of motion is very important.
Hair evolution. Tbt, I'm a man of many facial hair styles. The perks of having a full bearded face. I had the douchey goatee forever. The chops are fun. Can never go wrong with the coach's stache or the twirly handlebar. And who knows when I'll see my actual clean shaven face again. I think it's gonna be a while. #tbt#facialhair#hairevolution#moustache#menwithmoustaches#moustachesofig
