Michael Corleone: Kay. I never expected you.
Kay Adams: No, I know, I know. But I'm here.
Michael Corleone: I'm glad.
Kay Adams: You know? This is the first time I've seen you look so helpless.
Michael Corleone: Eh -- not so bad really. I feel, I'm getting, wiser now.
Kay Adams: Yeah?
Michael Corleone: Oh yeah.
Kay Adams: The sicker you get the wiser you get huh?
Michael Corleone: When I'm dead, I'm gonna be really smart.
This movie often receives criticism for being pretentious, boring and over indulgent. Personally, I think it’s a very good movie. What did you think? Comment below.👌🏻

^ Last time Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg worked together we got a great movie. If Hanks + Spielberg = great movie, then surely, with The Post out this Friday… (Hanks + Spielberg) x Meryl Streep = we’re in for a banger.

A few years ago I watched the movie Take This Waltz, it was weird and I didn’t like it but a couple of quotes from it have always stuck with me. One of which is below. It’s by Michelle Williams character talking about a baby named Tony and the perspective on babies and adults crying. It’s something I’ve come back to a lot of times in my head when I see my niece or nephews cry at seemingly nothing, and something I’ve reflected on myself in those odd moments of life when some small thing makes you feel overcome with emotion. So I’ll leave this here today, and maybe it’ll resonate with one of you ❤️
. “Sometimes I'm... walking along the street and a shaft of sunlight falls in a certain way across the pavement and I just wanna cry. And then a second later, it's over. I decide because I'm an adult, to not succumb to the momentary melancholy; And I thought that sometimes with Tony, she just had a moment like that. A moment of not knowing how or why, and she just let herself go and there was nothing anyone could do to make it any better. It was just her and the fact of being alive, colliding.” #quotes#moviequotes#takethiswaltz
