1️⃣First they have less calories per cup with only 82 calories, while a calorie-matched serving of dried lentils is just 2 tablespoons, which expands to roughly one-third cup when cooked.

We go through life being taught how to walk, how to talk, how to live. But when it comes down to making our own decisions and breaking that umbilical cord of dependence, we can sometimes fall, get hurt and begin to fear. Why do we do that? Why does our sympathetic nervous system kick in with its flight or fight response for something that's only just a challenge? Fear is a feeling, not fact.
In ACLS training, we follow an general algorithm based on the patient's status on how to save their life accompanied with highly qualified medical staff. Why can't we create or be our own algorithm and call the shots? Life can be a fearful plunge just like a code blue, but in the chaos find an equilibrium and just balance because even within the chaos of a patient's heart stopping, we find balance within.
Let's take our lives and be our own algorithm to guide and save ourselves. Let's think openly and independently to not be afraid of something challenging or new. Let's be an advocate for others as well as ourselves.
