I'm so excited to post this collage! I've officially hiked 12 fourteeneers (peaks about 14,000 ft). Now only 46 more to go... Quandary, Bierstadt, Grays, Torreys, Sherman, Lincoln, Democrat, Cameron, Bross, Massive, Elbert, and Sneffels
I decided to #OptOutside after all. My headache was bad this morning plus it had it had snowed and was cold, so I thought, screw it, I'm going to stay home and feel sorry for myself. Really glad I didn't, and so thankful to live in Leadville where I can tag a 14er in the morning as an after thought. The winds were tough on the ridge, the kind of frigid punch to your lungs which steals your breath for a second, but wow did it feel great - way better than a bad headache in bed. #CantStopWontStop#NeverStopExploring#RoadtoGrindstone100#Colorado#MtSherman
When the clouds start looking like this, it's time to get off the mountain. When the lightening strikes not once, not twice, but seven times, run the hell down and get back in your car! Fuck the summit! *shakes head* I took this photo on the Leadville side of Sherman today at 11:30am and people were still hiking up.
R is for Rejuvenate. Taking a break from the weights is not a bad thing. Use that time to relax and gather your thoughts. Go on a hike, spend time with close friends and family, and prepare to enter the gym again with a new fire.
