The wind beneath his wings by Swati Lahoti - The making of an IITian
A couple of days ago I got to read this book. It's a family's journey around how the elder son made it to IIT. The mother writes some very personal thoughts and about their team effort. The author Swati does share with us mothers how to cope up with pressure and how to help children by supporting them. It's a good book if your child is planning for IIT.
The best part of this book is a mother's journey of being with, beside and behind her son. It's a good book for parents whose kids will be appearing for board exams, IIT's or any major exams. This calm and composed mother shares with you how to chillax and be a mother and not an authoritarian parent which we nowadays are turning into.
I would rate this sweet and short book 3/5 and a must-read for parents of teenagers.
