As I sat in prayer this morning these words came to mind. .

When faced with uncertainty, I have always run away. .

I remember my diet too clearly, back in 2014.... it looked a lot like Wendy's dollar menu.... (mostly all fast food - actually), sugary drinks from Starbucks, stupid amounts of Red Bull & other energy drinks consumed ..... all while having "fresh pressed juices" daily, as well. 🙄 I was the fountain of health, guys - SMH! I wasn't willing to let go of my vices and complained that it was so hard for me to loose weight and I blamed it on genetics but it was actually laziness and lack of motivation. I didn't like change. Especially when it came to my diet , because I became so dependent on "consuming" my feelings, at the time. ( FOOD ADDICTION IS A REAL THING. Look it up!) but guys ... that large coke - that wasn't genetics .... fast food, still not genetics.... the sugar - nope, not genetics either. That over portioned meal ..... guess what? Not genetics either. I still remember having SEVER planter fasciitis in both of my feet.... worst feeling in the world! I felt like a full on crippled person. i would literally cry , trying to get out of bed, EVERY MORNING. So, naturally - I used that as an excuse to not exercise consistently. I still have PF in one foot but I've learned to manage my pain and flare ups with special exercises, KT tape, & proper shoes... it's not a big deal anymore 🤷♀️ ..... Last week's post I was down and teary because of the mind games that comes with purposely gaining weight and hormones. 😂
This past week has been great! I'm killing my workouts, feel STRONG AND still eating like a cow. Somehow I actually lost weight this week. I have no clue how this happened because I haven't changed a single thing. I do know I'm building lean muscle which in return speeds up my metabolism, so I'm saying that is the reason. I'm still going to eat close to 2500-3000 calories a day for this next week and see if my weight changes. If not I'll increase a little more during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season to get my last bang for my bulk before I start cutting Jan.1 I haven't been able to get to 134 lbs even with eating this much. I feel great during this entire journey except my one melt down last week. 😜 My shoulders are freaking looking awesome and I can't wait to see then when the layer of fat is gone.
Vacation was fun, eating good was fun, but my body is screaming for some veggies and lots of water 🥗💧. It feels good to be back to my routine and Im ready to train some upper body tonight 💪🏼❤️ #vacationsover#backtoreality#riseandgrind
✨French toast for breakfast this morning👌👌I haven't made French toast in a long time and these turned out delicious. Even my picky 16 1/2 month old is devouring them! To make these, I used 2 eggs, 1/4 cup of almond milk, 1 tsp of cinnamon and vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. I like to separate the yolk from the egg white and whisk the whites until they're nice and frothy, about 5 mins (great shoulder workout btw 😂-I would make them more into a meringue, but I dont have a hand mixer). Then I mix everything together, dip the bread in the egg mixture, and cook on a skillet with coconut oil for about 3-5 mins on each side. Voila! Top these bad boys with what you want. 😊✨
