For those who attended The Experience gospel concert in Lagos last week, it was a sight to behold. Thought to be the largest gospel concert in the world, hundreds of thousands of people poured into the Tafawa Balewa Square arena, packed tightly into every nook and cranny of the vast stadium.
It’s free to attend and has been ongoing for the past 12 years. organisers from @houseontherockchurch estimate that there were around 600,000 attendees at the concert which saw an international line up featuring a mix of African, European and US gospel artists such as Don Moen, @Donnie McClurkin, Travis Greene, Sonnie Badu, Nathaniel Bassey and Chevelle Franklin.
We went along to set up our camera to catch the crowds as they filled the stadium. The result is this timelapse. Were you there? Share your Experience with us. Do you know another similar concert that is as big as this one? Let us know in the comments.
