I think it’s important to remember that everybody learns in different ways, what might work for one person won’t work for the other. The only way you get to know these things is by knowing your team!
I struggle to just read something and remember it, but put it in game format and I’ve got it in 5 minutes.
It’s very easy for someone to sit in an office and tell you how to train your team...your thought should be “how the fuck do they know how my team responds to training?” Learn, adapt and think outside the box, take the information and personalise it based on how you know your guys will digest it effectively.
If I ever do a group training session I always try to cater for every type of learning, visual, aural, verbal and physical. Whilst also identifying who is more of a solitary learner so you can send them off to do their thing.
Just don’t mistake training for coaching...but that’s for another day!
