Today was such a full day! --
Workout, ToysRUs, local festival by the waterfront, nap, cleaning the back porch in 86* weather, back to ToysRUs, checked out some RV's, dinner, bed.
It was fun and I enjoyed the day (mostly) but towards the end of dinner I found myself getting super stressed out.
Bedtime is late
The house is a disaster
Dishes are in the sink
Things are lost
Toddler melting down
1 million questions of "why?"
I was feeling so frustrated, angry and just stressed. I had to just stop.
Stop focusing on the negative. Find gratitude in the fun day we had. It wasn't perfect, but it was filled with many wonderful moments that deserve to be remembered and not swept away with worry and stress.
It's definitely valid to feel all of that but it's so much nicer to focus on the positive. I forced myself to think of 5 moments today I am grateful for and I feel so much better now.
In case you're wondering:
1. C comforting G when he didn't feel good saying "I'll make you feel better Gage." And finding him little toys to play with.
2. Watching the kids pretend to drive/race the power wheels and see how much joy it brought them.
3. Finishing my workout all the way, even though I didn't think I could do it.
4. Seeing dear friends and spending time with them (including one I randomly ran into!)
5. Wearing G in the Tula for the first time in a VERY long time (though that was quite uncomfortable after about 15 minutes lol)•
Whew. I almost didn't make it to Friday.😴
This week has been haaaard y'all. I protested BIG time about getting out of bed and putting on adult pants today.😩🙈
I totally wanted to hit snooze and take a vacay....
But we all know moms don't get days off.😜
Peppermint and lemon are definitely going in the diffuser this morning.🌿🍋
And I'm going to go drench myself in some peace and calming and maybe a mommy timeout later on today.... also known as naptime.😘😂
Morning car vibes...🚙☔️
Every morning after school drop off, I pull into the driveway and SIT. I soak up the baby bliss while it lasts and answer emails, check in with groups, prep for a class...
But mainly I enjoy the quiet before the double kiddo storm. Breakfast, nursing baby, who to get out first.... sometimes both are crying, sometimes one... but it always a bit stressful.
I mentally prepare myself for the day. Take lots of cleansing deep breaths. Say a little prayer.
Mommin ain't easy but it is my greatest joy.
My greatest role.
And of course I drink the coffee.
Then I do all the things.😘
These cuties got to put 'frosting' (coconut cream mixed with honey and cinnamon) on their gluten free/vegan cookies and were so happy. C says 'thank you' all on her own every day, no prompting required and it's SO Adorable!
This is your Monday morning reminder that you are amazing and you can handle anything (even a Monday after a holiday!)! You have a brand new week to slay dragons, achieve goals, sweat more, complain less and lean into fears! Go!
"If I could keep you little, I'd keep you close to me. But then I'd miss you growing up into who you're meant to be!"--Marianne Richmond in the sweetest book "If I could keep you little..." Tears every time I read this book to her! I just want to breathe in her babyness and cherish every stage!
I actually woke up wanting to workout this morning! This doesn't happen everyday but I knew I got to do a fun one today! We were late for our co-op preschool but it was worth it to get the workout done while everyone was in a good mood!!
Sunday mornings are for foam rolling, healthy shakes, and most importantly, God
Listening to the second message in the newest series "Isomnia" by my favorite, @churchnativity.
There are three more chances to watch live today: 10:30 a.m., noon, and 5:30 p.m.
When something is important to you, you find a WAY and get rid of the excuses. Working out TOGETHER each morning has been such a strengthening point in our marriage. It means I have to wake up wayyyyyyyyyyy earlier than I would prefer to get it done before this guy leaves for work as a large animal vet. Animals don't sleep in I guess😂😏But it's a little sacrifice that has been so worth it. So whatever it is in YOUR life that is important to you but NOT happening---- sit down for a minute and find a way to make it happen. Sacrifice and struggle are often times necessary to bring joy and growth. Don't fight it---- roll with it😉💕
I always feel like I need more fruits and veggies. Suja juices are such an easy and quick way to make me feel healthy.
They say it's like a farmer's market in a bottle. I agree! So so good and they make me feel great!
When you take care of your body, it takes care of you.
Working out makes me happy. It lifts my spirits, makes me feel good about myself, and helps me enjoy everyday activites, like shopping.
I went to pick out some new clothes this weekend for the new job, and I felt amazing in just about everything I tried on.
This fun top and blazer are just two of my fun purchases. And let's be real, the extra income I earn from coaching and making others feel their best helps make it possible. It comes full circle.
Feeling super blessed tonight. Hope you have a great evening! Get that workout in today and feel good about yourself!
Whew! Dishes, counters, floors, and nebulizers are clean! I love having a clean kitchen, but it never lasts long. For some reason, a clean kitchen just calls out to me and inspires me to cook something! Yumm! ...but then I end up with a messy kitchen again....does this happen to you?!?
The question of WHY?
I am currently doing a training along with a couple other leaders on our team to help our coaches grow their businesses and see the potential that is within them. We keep asking them WHY they are doing this, WHY do they want to be a health and fitness coach, WHY do they want to work when others aren't.
This got me thinking of my own WHY. You see, as my business has grown, my WHY has changed. When I first started, I just wanted to make a little extra money to help pay for some fun things like vacations, extra outings, and more. But, as time went on and I really caught the vision of what this could truly be, my why shifted to being home full time with my boys.
And now that I am home with them, my why has changed again.
Truthfully I think my WHY is actually the answer that directs most of my decisions.
I don't need anyone to remind me to stay committed.
There is no question on if I will show up.
You don't have to worry if I will be here in a few years.
Or wonder if I will pay this forward every month.
You see, I am on a mission to EMPOWER women to discover a SELF-WORTH that gives them HOPE to OVERCOME their perceived limitations.
I want to show others that if you work hard and dream big anything is possible.
I never want them to think for one second that they can't because they can.
So, when people ask me WHY it is because my family is everything to me and if I want to stop the madness it has to start and end with me.
See when you find your why-- the question of showing up isn't really a question. It is everything that guides your daily decisions. You will work so hard when no one is watching because your work is now your mission.
Your greatest passion in life.

There are days when I get up to two hours of uninterrupted work done, some days I'm lucky to get 30 minutes.
But you know what? The beauty of being your own boss is that you're not going to get a bad evaluation or docked pay for having your sweet baby by your side.
So today as I'm getting ready for my big coaching sneak peek that starts tomorrow, I'll have this cute boy by my side.
Coffee and Jesus.
I love Sunday mornings. I miss my Baltimore church so much, but thanks to technology I am able to live stream it every week until I find a church down here.
Today's message was awesome. It was the closing of the 8th g
Grade Faith series, and was full of lessons for Christians at every step of their journey.
My heart is full. Starting the week off wanting to give more, love more, and be a stronger Christian.
New to church or looking for one in Baltimore or something you can watch online? Check out @churchnativity. They are live streaming again two more times today.
