Happy Anniversary mom and dad!♥️ It’s amazing how both of them were fortunate to marry thier first love.♥️♥️There’s so much to aspire, other than just the fact that dad has always been the standard to measure a man’s worth in my eyes, there’s always a partiality towards him, always was and always will (I’m sure all daughters feel the same). Coming to mom, she’s lucky to have Papa! *winks
Ghotu & Chotu are the happiest today. (10 years of courtship and 24 years of marriage‼️)

⚠️Long post ahead⚠️ Today isn't Thanksgiving. Nor is it my daddy's bday. But I just want to take the time to appreciate my dad, who saves up his accumulated vacation days from work to come here and spend time with us in the U.S.
Every time he's here, he comes with educational books, tapes, CDs, makes PowerPoints to share with us on what he learned on his mission trips, and leads Bible study with us. Every morning he wakes up super early and prepares our breakfast so we have more time to get ready in the morning (& texts me to remind me to drink water). During the day, he either tends to the garden, fixes stuff, cleans the house, or works on translating something for the neurology/ethnics department/songs to lead at church when he goes back to Taiwan. At night he preps the food/makes soup (💣) first so it takes less time for us to cook when we are all home from work. Does he have to do any of this for us? No. But he does because that's how he shows his love for us in his quiet ways.
On my day off last week, we went to run some errands. Afterwards, my daddy treated me to ice cream while never forgetting to teach me something about how to talk to difficult people in my life or how to handle difficult situations. He shows his love for his children by tending to our needs at all times. He never complains and rarely ever raises his voice. I'm honestly so touched by the things he does for me and the rest of my family. The older I get, the more I realized I need to prioritize my time for my family while I still can. I've come to appreciate them so much more now that I'm older.
Anyway, I know I don't post often about my family. That's because they are super humble and low key folks 🤫 I'm posting on here to remind myself to always be thankful for what I already have- set of loving parents who might not show affection the American way. Tough love is still love right? 😂 Here's a toast to all the super mom's and dad's/parental figures in our lives 🙌🏻 Go home and hug them y'all 💖
Today 40 years ago on January 7, 1978 my dad Raul Lozano Serrano and my mom Nohemy Monroy Torres got married. Since then they have created a beautiful but not so ordinary family, traveled the world together, and we beat all the odds together as a family. I’m Truly grateful and blessed for everything they have given to my brothers and I From a home, to my education, supporting me in whatever my crazy ass gets into, and even though their traditional ways drive me crazy I wouldn’t have it any other way! They are the true role models of what unconditional love really is, no matter how crazy it can get. No matter what we face together from good times, tragedy, or fighting with one another, there will always be love! i aspire to have what they have, Happy 40th wedding anniversary to my parents! May they continue to live their lives together with love, happiness, and more travels for the rest of our their lives!!!👰🏽💚🤵🏽🎂🍾🥂🎉🎊#weddinganniversary#happy40thanniversary#happyanniversary#worldtravelers#tilldeathdouspart#andtheylivedhappilyeverafter#myparents#myfamily#myrolemodels#familyfirst#familygoals#everlastinglove#familia#colombianfamily#serranofamily
