Today's flea market finds! Lovely ottoman in original condition (it hasn't been Annie Sloaned!) but that child's chair 😍😍 also in great condition! They will both be available at Calke Abbey on November 5th.
Traditionally Edwardian tiles came in a variety of shapes, sizes and colours. The tiles were used to create an infinite array of tessellating designs to compliment and decorate period architecture.
Whilst being hard wearing and practical, Edwardian floor tile schemes served to wow and entertain your guests.
In the modern day their lasting presence is testament to the quality of both the manufacture of the tile and the skilled installation by the artisans of a bygone era.
This tiled shelf adds a subtle nod to the above and is beautiful.

Godmorgon godingar! // Good morning from another day when the sun was shining! Here is a newly arranged corner in my apartment. I did a big re-arraning last week and I am starting to feel satisfied. Just need to get some stuff up on the wall behind the couch to make it look less empty 😊 Hope your Thursday is great!
I keep meaning to plant the hardy chrysanthemums in the flower beds but have had not had good timing for weather and a good chunk of gardening time. It is a good thing that they look gook with the porch pumpkins. #thoroughlymodernvintage#myvintagehome
I said to my soul, be still and wait without hope, for hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love, for love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith, but the faith and the love are all in the waiting. Wait without thought, for you are not ready for thought: So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing.
