If I did it, why can't you? I know, I know... it's easier said than done right? But I say it and I continue to do it. It's just a matter of HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT. Would you rather sacrifice a little and be confident with yourself or would you rather keep making excuses and live your life with regret⁉️
Let me be real with y'all for a minute. I love working out. I look forward to it. It's a stress reliever. It's either that or a bottle of wine every night and only one of those gets me to my goal if you know what I'm sayin.
So real talk, I've been trying to make myself get up at 5:30 and workout before even leaving to go to work. I've done that the past two days. But I absolutely hated it. I hated waking up. I was grumpy and mean. I hated my workouts.
I know I'll get used to it and I'll be back to enjoying them in no time but for right now, shit's hard yo. These journeys aren't always rainbows, sunshine, unicorns, and kittens 🌈☀️🦄🐈 But I tell you what, I would trade the hard days for anything. Living this lifestyle is so much better than how I was living before that I'll take the hard days in a heartbeat.
CANNOT remember the last time my dinner plate looked like this...
It's been 16 months since I've gone low carb/high fat, and I've honestly not missed the carbs, like at all. I know, I know. Y'all probably think I'm crazy (maybe I am 🤷🏻♀️), but I can't describe how terrible (most) carbs make me feel.
HOWEVER. I made a promise. A commitment that I would follow my meal plan again this month so I can get the most out of my results from my program. I'm going 100% ALL IN, with my girls, so that we can push each other and prove that these programs and meal plans really work.
Husband has been craving Mongolian beef, so I made my own version (recipe in the comments) and paired it with some broccoli with butter and a sprinkle of feta cheese, and half a small sweet potato with butter and cinnamon.
Some of y'all saw my 3 week results last week... and I cannot WAIT to see and show y'all my 7 week transformation in a few weeks 😍
I am so obsessed with the vegan Chocolate superfoods I can't wait for my post workout reward. I usually mix fresh or frozen fruit, with cashew, coconut or almond milk and another fave is banana and pb with a nut milk. Today it was simple, cold coffee with cashew milk. Always blended with ice so it's like my ice cream milkshake on the go.
So what's in my superfoods shake?
Some of the key ingredients are Sacha Inchi, Chia, Flax, Quinoa, Camu-Camu, Goji Berry, Green Tea, Pomegranate, Rose Hips, Moringa, Maca, Ashwagandha, Chlorella, Spiulina, Spinach, Kale, Yacon Root, and Chicory Root, are just to name a few of some of the 70 ingredients that make up this deliciousness that is truly my daily does of dense nutrition.
I've stayed up late tonight 😴 I blame the new crash bandicoot! I forgot how addictive that game was! Reminds me of when I was a kid!
My face to face Friday picture this week.
The first is from the day I started my slimming world journey back in May this year. The second is of me at weigh Wednesday just past. 14 weeks difference, just over 2 stone lighter
🌟 FLASHBACK FRIDAY 🌟
I started my @thehealthymummy journey when I had my daughter 6 months ago. For the first month I was using the free recipes and stalking the support group, watching all the inspirational woman and slowly building up my own confidence and motivation to make a change in my life. I then ordered my smoothies and at 6 weeks post partum I signed up to the 28 day challenges. In this time I have lost 17.5kg (and counting!). This week I thought I'd do my #flashbackfriday a little differently and use a visual representation to show just how much weight I've lost. I'm not going to lie, picking up these bags of chicken mince made me tear up. They were heavy. Really heavy. It's no wonder that I'm feeling so much more comfortable these days! Finding the healthy mummy is without a doubt the BEST thing that has happened to me and my family. It has pulled me out of a deep fog I didn't think I'd be able to find my way out of and made me a much better person. Happy wife (almost haha), happy life!
I avoid videos because my loose skin annoys me it makes me look still fat.
But this evening did chest and tested my wrist to see was it getting better and it is so I'm happy.
This was middle set @60kg for 12+reps I kept it medium weight for fear of my wrist giving in on Me .
Getting better making progress
