Some of us get consumed by the negativity of this world. But this is a choice because we have been given almost the equal amount of beautiful positive things. It's our choice on whether to consider something positive or not.
For instance, night time. It is very dark. More crime, loneliness, and fear tends to occur at night & because of these conditioned beliefs, we often look past the beautiful stillness that night brings. The silence, the sparkle of the stars and the light of the moon. The feeling of chills we get from the cool, crisp night air. The ability to just stand in awe of how vast the sky of stars is compared to us.
To me, that is one of the most beautiful things.
People today go through life without even noticing these beautiful things. Not only in nature but in people. Family and friends that care about them, that is beautiful.
Yet we are even more discontent then ever? Because we do not listen to ourselves, we listen to society and those around us and are afraid to ask ourselves what we truly want.
Why do we fear asking ourselves what is best? Like the person who will hurt us most is ourselves? When that is the farthest from the truth.
We hold the key to our own satisfaction. No person or thing or experience will ever do this for us if we are not first content with ourselves☽
Growing up I did an uncommon sport and that was what I was known for. Once I got to high school though all I wanted was to be #normal .
I worked so hard to not stick out and to be like everyone else. For years I downplayed my enthusiasm and cared so much about fitting in. Im not sure I ever really succeeded. 😜
I spent about a decade going back and forth between being myself wholly and trying to blend in. This lead to a lot of unhappiness and weight gain. And then I started having kids.
I realized how painful it must be to have your child want to be different than who they were made to be. I decided I didn't want to model that for them.
It was a big journey, but two years ago I stopped fighting myself and took a leap on coaching. I found a vehicle to drive my passion for helping others and inspiring people to live their lives truly and whole heartedly.
This avenue starts with becoming healthy but is so much more than that. It has created personal growth more than I imagined; it has brought me so much personal fulfillment, I can't even begin to say how thankful I am.
You deserve this too! You deserve to feel free to love your life your way. You are worth all the happiness in the world, and it starts with being yourself!
Playing catch-up for this challenge.
It has been hard trying to find motivation lately but I am ready to share my heart and soul in future posts because I've missed this #IGyogaCommunity . Sometimes the best medicine is to take a back away from the noise and distractions (esp social media) to realign, readjust, and reset.

Meditating on the front of the boat was definitely one for the books. No matter how big the waves got, I never let it shake me. I stood my ground, steady, and in sync with all that surrounds me. I know where I am and I ain't moving shit for just anyone. #MyCostaLife#innerpeace#namastebitches#selflove
