A beautiful mama and her two handsome boys. Yes a more traditional portrait, but this is the image she wanted so badly. She was quite nervous for the session because unfortunately she'd had bad experiences with family photography in the past. Afterwards she wrote me the most beautiful thank you: "I know I've said this, but I want to reiterate how wonderful our experience was with you from start to finish. We felt heard, valued, and beautiful through the entire process." That my dear friends is exactly why I do what I do! And I feel so grateful I was given the opportunity to create images she'll cherish.
Embracing London streets as a backdrop for family portraits! In the past I have turned down requests for urban sessions as I assumed they would be a bit touristy, but I love how these look, red buses and all.
We are working on some fun things at NAPCP this week! Her expression captures how we feel perfectly! 😂
Have some fun today!

My heart is breaking a thousand times this week. My youngest is going to be seven and that means those little boy moments are rapidly coming to an end. He looks older, he acts older, and only when its quiet and he's asleep do I still see my little one. A thousand times can I take a picture, but time marches on....
Catching up on my sneak peaks! It's been a crazy busy couple of weeks-- Baby London came into the studio last week, its amazing how much she has grown in 3 months! Can't wait to see her for her 9 month session! #oneyearcollection
Saturday marked my 9th business birthday…but I completely forgot. 😮 And I love the reason why: I was taking a Saturday off work. When I jumped headfirst into running Kate L Photography full-time 3 years ago, the idea of a complete day off seemed like it belonged in someone else’s dream life, not in mine. But since getting married, I’ve been trying to find more of a work/life balance. E and I are both home by 8 p.m. (a miracle compared to the 1 a.m. workaholic nights I was pulling in 2014) and we spend more time together on the weekend. Running a small business is never easy, but I’m proud to be building it around the life I always wanted. Here’s to year 10…time to start dreaming up next year’s celebration!! 🎊🎉🎂
"You are the only you there is and ever will be. Do not deny the world its one and only chance to bask in your brilliance." - @jensincero talking about how babies are born awesome, and how we need to get back to that feeling as adults. I'm going to have to agree on all counts. #cristinmorenewborns
