Congratulations to National CORE for receiving the Large Development Award at the 2017 Affordable Housing Awards breakfast. National CORE is one of the nation’s largest nonprofit developers of affordable housing.
The award was bestowed to them for their newly-completed Oakcrest Terrace affordable housing project in Yorba Linda. It took three years and two ballot measures for National CORE to receive the necessary support to change the zoning regulations in order to build this beautiful apartment community.
Pictured is my Field Deputy Al Tello; Madelynn Hirneise, Director of Property Acquisition at Families Forward; and Michael Ruane, National CORE’s Executive Vice President.
In my element 🤓 A few weeks ago I spoke at the Orange County Council of Governments' (OCCOG) General Assembly about the housing crisis in CA and provided potential solutions for our electeds to consider. Thank you OCCOG for tackling this critical issue in my hometown! #NationalCORE#affordablehousing#occog2017ga
We want to thank our members who took time out of their schedules to volunteer in the Point-in-Time Count. We're very proud of our amazing members. #Repost @innovative_se with @repostapp
Our team was present this morning alongside other @biasocal members to take part in the Point In Time count for San Bernardino County. The first step to addressing homelessness, is understanding the situation. Today's mission was to literally get a physical count of the number of homeless, understand the specifics of their individual situation. Once compiled, each team brought that data back to public officials so they, along with @homeaid_inland_empire and other community partners, can draft an effective plan to get these folks of the streets and to a place that is best suited for their specific situation. @jamboreehousing @affirmedhousing #wakelandhousing#nationalcore @sanbernardinocountysheriff @sanbernardinocountyfire @supervisorjosie #biasocal#biabaldyview#homeaidinlandempire#homeaid#buildingindustry#buildwithstrength#payitforward#structuralengineering
Hot chocolate bar for the residents and toys for the kids that were donated from awesome people and local businesses. We got to give toys to over 100 kids😁 It was a long day but I believe people were blessed today by not just the gifts and cocoa but by the love and partnership we show them. We want to offer a safe place to help in any we can and I'm blessed to be able to serve with a great team. #nationalcore#OC#nonprofit
