I haven't posted in a while. Took a little break with the family and then did some real honest work. Speaking of honest work @homebartendr did some today that made my day. I was inspired to go home and make a Pegu Club. Delicious! I was going to go daiquiri but this was what I wanted. My lighting may not be as good but I'm pretty sure this drink is!
2 oz. London dry gin (Bombay Dry gin)
.75 oz. dry curaçao (@pierreferrandcognac)
.5 oz. lime juice
1 dash @angosturahouse bitters
1 dash @angosturahouse orange bitters
Shake and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a lime twist.
This is such a magnificent cocktail. Thank those Brits in Rangoon.
Monday was #NationalMartiniDay so @fred_martens decided to run around East London filming his favourite bartenders creating their most magnificent martinis. He's a good'n. We'll be posting one a day on @spitalfieldsbar and this was our first - @charlottepatriciapederson from @originalsinbar 🍸
I missed the memo for National Martini Day yesterday so here's my lowly contribution.
Apple Martini sans- fluorescent green apple pucker made by yours truly.
2 oz vodka
1 oz apple brandy
0.25 oz Cointreau
Apple star garnish (because you're a superstar, obvs)
It's no coincidence that my birthday is the same day as National Martini Day. Since the celebration continues, I will enjoy another Martini today, like I did yesterday. Cheers, friends! To another year around the cocktail calendar. Yours in 🍸 love, Katie
