At night, from inside my tent, I felt like I was on top of a tower high in the sky. To the west, the lights of the cities lining I-5 glowed with a busy silence. To the northeast, the stars painted a faint outline of the volcanos and peaks of the Lassen wilderness. Above it all, the Milky Way flowed across the sky, a reminder of our place amongst the stars. I couldn't dream a better dream. I tried, but failed to capture it all.
Hayaller bu 🍀 hayatlar da İstanbul trafiği olduğu için #tb yapmak zorundayım 👈🏼 özür dilerim 👎🏼

Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park @ Big Sur | A6000 | 18mm | F8 | HDR from multiple Exposures | ISO 100 |
Hey everyone, it’s photo Wednesday and I’m presenting another sunset photo. The colours might look so intense that it looks somewhat fake, but this really was the colours when I visited Big Sur, one of best sunsets I’ve ever seen in my life. The most interesting thing about sunset is that it changes the colours of surrounding elements like mountains and trees. It’s the same with human interactions. Be colourful and positive and the energy will reflect on your surrounding people as well.
There's a simplicity to being alone out in the wilderness. You only have yourself, your survival, and the nature around you. Being high in the alpine takes this further - the immediate landscape is barren, almost inhospitable, and so your eye is drawn away to the sweeping vistas of infinite terrain visible from on high. As the sun set over my camp on Tehama, a whispy cloud moved over the iconic Mt. Shasta. Simplicity.
