Well it's definitely wedding season now- seems like I've come back from my break having transitioned from Christmas chaos straight into wedding madness! If you're thinking about getting something made, make sure to allow at least three weeks (or longer for something custom made) so they'll be ready in time.

▲ If you are faced with a mountain, you have several options.
You can climb it and cross to the other side.
You can go around it.
You can dig under it.
You can fly over it.
You can blow it up.
You can ignore it and pretend it’s not there.
You can turn around and go back the way you came.
Or you can stay on the mountain and make it your home. -V.N 🖤 Goodnight Friends!
Heroine's Journey work: injustices in my world...to name a few...POC being portrayed as vile creatures and treated like they don't matter (as evidenced by deaths at the hands of police and armed citizens, mass incarceration, mass media, quotes from 45, surveillance of citizens, deportation, war, Standing Rock, segregation through systems: housing, transportation, education, commerce, etc.); sexual abuse of women, transwomen, elderly, children, people with disabilities and treating symptoms or blaming victims over cause (plenty of evidence, moving on); increasing income gaps; institutions being protected over people (as evidenced by taxation, corporate law, DAPL, healthcare, and, locally, decisions about Mayo's DMC); cities touting diversity over inclusion (diversity doesn't mean a damn thing if systems of segregation keep us from working together and learning from each other's differences); mass consumerism and commercial/housing/energy developments that rip up land, pollute, and take lives to support our growing greed; tribalism that promotes us vs. them; lack of empathy and denial of our interconnection
Anyone want to add injustices they see in their immediate world so we can get to work eyes wide open?
Found this lovely GREEN marble tile today! I can just picture it as a full piece bathroom tile with a large, round wood-trim mirror, sconce lighting, white quartz countertop with some natural veins, and a wood-colour modern cabinetry to match. Lastly envision grey flooring with cute green, luscious plants in white pots to bring out the colours in the tile beautifully. Oh and don’t forget the skylights and European shower glass reflecting warm natural light into this peaceful space :P #naturetheme#beautifultiles#marbletile#bathroombacksplash#backsplash#designinspiration#green#natureinspired 🌱🌱🌱✨
Have you ever seen the movie based on the book “The Snowman?” Whenever I walk home from work and it’s super cold out, I play that chilling, yet gentle piano theme in my head to try to make winter suck less. It helps, so does taking photographs like this one.
I may complain about the cold air hurting my face, the expensive heat bill, how dry my skin is, and about how I have insane cabin fever...but I really try to enjoy these (long) months for what they are.
How do you win against winter? Any recommendations for photo adventures or coping mechanisms?
Have you heard the latest BUZZ word in home living?
TRANSTERIOR - It’s all about bringing the indoors outside, and the outdoors in. Creating a greater connection to nature. Makes perfect sense to me!
You can, create a similar feeling of being out in NATURE within a room/space by bringing nature indoors through your choice of natural, handmade organic materials, textures, art, plants, colours…..
I’m loving how Erica has done just that and is showcasing my “HOO” artwork within her beautiful “Transterior” space! Thanks so much for sharing! 📷by Erica C
